It was a bad game. Period. The defense started well, offense was a joke. the defense wore down and began leaving running lanes open in part because the offense couldn't stay on the fields. As bad as I've seen Locker play imo. That first half was brutal! Let's hope we don't see that kind of performance any more.

Exactly. As I said in another thread this is a game of momentum and Locker pretty much single-handedly kept us from gaining any throughout the entire first half. And by the second half the hole was too deep as the defense was gassed. If Locker could've just led us to one score in the first half we might have gained some momentum and the result might have been different.

I heard another stat on the radio this morning. It was something like DAL ran 21 plays in TEN territory in the 1st half, and TEN ran 1 play in DAL territory in the first half. How can you realistically expect your defense to survive a situation like that? Don't get me wrong there's plenty of blame to go around for this one. But IMO Locker is #1 on the list and there's a pretty big gap between him and #2. If he displays even average accuracy then we're in that ball game, with a decent chance to win IMO.

    80 defensive plays

Near impossible to win with those numbers.. And we actually still had a chance in this game. We were driving the field and that tipped pass at the line that turned into a pick hurt. Also pollard's "should've been" pick 6.

If either one of those plays turned out differently I think we are having a different conversation today

you guys putting all the blame on Jake for the Cowboys running for 230 yds are misguided. Its not like they racked up all those yards late, they were doing it from the start, our Defense NEVER stopped the run. Dallas bailed us out early by trying to throw too much, then the offense would come back out and just couldn't find a rhythm. Whiz should've been setting up Jake with some easier throws to get that rhythm.

I seriously dont know how we bottle up the NFL's 2nd best RB one week, and just a week later let the 3rd or 4th best guy run all over the place on us... Shocks me we would overlook DeMarco Murray in that way. Guy is a force.

Defense is just as much to blame as Locker is.

    I agree with you 100%.

He not only cost us big plays early, he gave them great field position and kept them on our side of the field. They'd have to gain 2-3 first downs for a field goal. It was painful to watch and honestly the defense kept things from being worse.

I'm still in the camp that is not ready to remove Locker, but if that happens because of his play going forward at least we have backups good enough to push us over the edge.

    Easier throws??

All of his throws were short. His throws over 15 yards were horrible and almost got picked.

We were only able to contain Charles because his O-line sucks/swallows and Andy Reid inexplicably abandoned the run (he has publicly apologized for it so it's a fact). If they would have kept feeding him he probably breaks one.
