    you're right in all that..

but most of our jobs, we would get fired with no chance of rehire for getting popped once for an illegal drug. He should be lucky he isn't banned for life. Many of us would be, from our regular jobs.

Ha not my job. I'm in sales man. I could do a line of blow off a girls boob laying on my desk in front of my boss and probably get away with it. Not that I ever would.

You're right though. He should know better. I just think the NFL needs to be more consistent on their outside the lines rules and consequences.

Btw... that was a serious question:

Does anyone know if players are allowed to take Adderall or similar prescription drugs?

Looks like Welker is back at it today after the new drug policy took effect.

New drug rules are a total joke.....no punishment if positive test during offseason, minimal suspension if during season. The NFL is going in the exact wrong direction to clean up these drug/PED offenders.

Does it really matter if a player smokes weed during March? I dont believe so.

You really think dudes who smoke weed in March, can just stop whenever they want? These guys toke and toke, and this new policy only enables them to continue their poor behavior.

During their personal down time I have no issues, but obviously the pot heads will need to be weeded out

plus once youre in the substance abuse program youre on thin ice

the league helping you vs turning you away is a good thing

guys only get in worse shape when theyre away from their team

The program is a joke, if the players association really cared, they'd enroll these guys in an actual substance abuse program and put them in rehab. These continual slaps on the wrist and reductions in suspensions/penalties condition the players to believe that they can skirt the repercussions of their actions.

But I understand what you're saying
