You should be worried about your boy JCBrave. 7.6 QBR first half? Head coach placing blame on WR's and saying "all QB's have a bad game every now and then"....... Sounds like head case management.

Of course the loss isn't all on one player. It rarely ever is in football. But I do think it's fair to say Jake pretty much single-handedly handicapped the team early on and we never recovered from it.

Everybody wants to give Jake a mulligan for last week. And that's fine I guess. But IMO you're fooling yourself if you aren't having serious doubts about Jake at this point. This guy is in his 4th year and has been inconsistent and inaccurate throughout. If he doesn't get it now, then when? I really hate to be down on him because there's a lot to like about Jake. But regardless of all your other qualities if you're not accurate and can't stay healthy I don't want you. I'm getting tired of this franchise giving guys with major evident flaws in their game 4 and 5 years to "get it". If Locker doesn't pan out, then we will have wasted almost a full decade on VY and Jake.

^That last paragraph wasn't directed at you Dee, just speaking generally.

I tried to understand why Whisenhunt didn't say more about Lockers bad performance. Why is he just talking about the pass protection and WR?

The offensive linemen's performance isn't dictated by anyone else but themselves. If they give up a sack it's the lines fault (for the most part). Same with Wr. If they run a sloppy route or can't get off the line of scrimmage that's their own fault. No one else's.

With Jake he is dependent on his line to protect him, his receivers to get off the line, run good routes, and catch the football. If any of those things are out of wack then that can dictate Jake's performance whether it be positively or negatively. On Sunday it was the latter.

I could be wrong but that's the only thing I can think Whisenhunt is thinking when he is talking about Jake. I still think Jake played very poorly and there were times he had time and the WR were open and he blew it.

Regardless as a QB it's your job to be a leader and when things are out of sync it's your job to right the ship. He is the captain and the tone setter for the offense, but there are just certain things he can't control and maybe Whis saw more of that on Sunday than we did.
