Is it just me or is anyone else wondering why we drafted sankey the first rb off the board and basically do not play him? Greene is a short yardage plodder and a poor reciever. I get why we got McCluster and have enjoyed him in is role. But either sankey is just not as good as the team thought or maybe we would have been better served taking Hyde. I really liked sankey coming out because he reminds me of bernard that we will see tomorrow. It is time for us to see him on the field more.

Not drafting Hyde is going to come back on us.

But on topic, maybe Bishop just isn't ready yet.

I think people have gotten spoiled and want there rookies to be able to play right away and make an impact, which is not the case. When Sankey is ready to run the rock he will.

Sankey hasn't shown a reason to get more carries yet, imo.

For being such a below average talent team for the most part, it's surprising that they sit the 1st and 2nd round picks.
In the nfl, there isn't much benefit in waiting, careers are short.

To me if we are running the shotgun most of the time greene doesnt need to be on the field. He is a power player for power sets not the spread. I would sort of like to see McCluster and Sankey on each side of locker tomorrow for the screen game when the bengals blitz

Thats why McCluster got more carries in the 2nd half and Green was on the sidelines. Titans only used Green once from the shotgun in the first half, for 4 yards I believe. In the second half, they were i the shotgun often, and thats why McCluster was in there instead of Green.

True. But it just sucks to always have to watch other teams' rookies come in and make immediate impacts while we sit here and "wait" on ours. We sit Jake Locker his first year, it ends up doing him zero good and we're still "waiting" to see what we actually have with him. We trade up to draft Justin Hunter then barely even use him his rookie year. Now Sankey, who we passed on superior talent for, is averaging 4 touches per game.

Basically, our 1st and 2nd round picks are just sitting on the bench.

^ All that said, Sankey has not separated himself from the pack with the few opportunities he has had. But still, you expect to end up with at least one player who can come in and make in an immediate impact from your top two draft picks.

    Because Sankey isn't very good.

Anyone else ready to let Ruston Webster go? What the hell has this guy done to generate so much love on this board. He was front and center of the Locker pick. Brought in Levitre on the awful contract. Used a top-ten pick on a crappy guard. Passed over Lavante David for Zach Brown. Akeem Ayers ain't doing ****.

I mean, look at the drafts since he was here as VP of Player Personnel and then GM.

    Jake Locker QB Washington
    Akeem Ayers LB UCLA
    Jurrell Casey DT USC
    Colin McCarthy LB Miami (FL)
    Jamie Harper RB Clemson
    Karl Klug DT Iowa
    Byron Stingily T Louisville
    Zach Clayton DT Auburn
    Kendall Wright WR Baylor
    Zach Brown LB North Carolina
    Mike Martin DT Michigan
    Coty Sensabaugh DB Clemson
    Taylor Thompson TE Southern Methodist
    Markelle Martin DB Oklahoma State
    Scott Solomon DE Rice
    Chance Warmack G Alabama
    Justin Hunter WR Tennessee
    Blidi Wreh-Wilson DB Connecticut
    Zaviar Gooden LB Missouri
    Brian Schwenke C California
    Lavar Edwards DE Louisiana State
    Khalid Wooten DB Nevada
    Daimion Stafford DB Nebraska
    Taylor Lewan T Michigan
    Bishop Sankey RB Washington
    DaQuan Jones DT Penn State
    Marqueston Huff DB Wyoming
    Avery Williamson LB Kentucky
    Zach Mettenberger QB Louisiana State

Those first three classes are crap outside of Casey and maybe Klug. No wonder this team is terrible.
