Zach Mettenberger is NOT the backup QB.

We need a lot of players on the defensive side of the ball. Good pass rushers make a mediocre secondary look great. I say get some guys that consistently get after the QB. It would be fantastic to find our franchise QB in Mett, but he isn't playing anytime soon.

 

I think Mett will start some games at some point.. maybe after the bye week.

 

I hate to say it but I'm actually looking forward to the annual Locker injury this year. I've about seen enought, it's not like this is Lockers firs or even second year, it's his 4th year and he still can hit a wide open receiver to save his life. Time to start looking elsewhere.

With that said, I doubt seriously that Mett is the answer but it can't hurt to throw him in there and see what happens. At least he's pretty accurate.

 

He'll sling it with confidence too. He won't go into that ***** ass panic mode Locker does half the time.

 

You're right Duece. He's not the back up but he should be. He rightfully earned the #2 spot in the preseason. If it was an open competition for the #2 spot he would have won.

 

Mett showed signs he can play, I just wish people would shut up about our 3rd QB saving the season, he probably won't even dress this year.

 

Will remember this thread when ZM is starting at least briefly this season.

 

No one has stated they think he WILL save the season. The closest I've seen is he MIGHT save the season and really most posters just want to see if there is some steak to his game or if he's all sizzle. Nothing left to see with Locker anyways anymore so why not?

 

Sorry that locker showed his true colors after that one week. I was rooting for him (and you by proxy) but he pooped the bed big time.
I will be all-time level unhappy if he is that bad vs the colts next week when I will be attending. When they aren't "on" He and this whole team are embarrassing.
