Zach Mettenberger is NOT the backup QB.

This will happen at some point this season...truthfully I never figured locker playing the whole season, I figured he would pull/break/stretch something and be riding the pine for injury, not bad performance. This is like watching his rookie season all over again.

 

I wish, he looked good his rookie season.

 

The good thing is that we found out early that Locker does suck and will be gone. I was dreding him being in-and-out all season and leaving us with a do we /don't we conundrum at season end.

I don't personally care whether its CBJ or Mettlife that runs the offense as long as we win some games ... somehow.

This division at the moment is as weak as I can ever remember and here we are , blowing as much as we did when Pornstache was here.

If Whizz has a strategy over the position , he'd better start employing it now , we can't afford another performance like yesterday , albeit against what is becoming a pretty reasonable Bungles outfit.

 

lmao. Mett is a hell of a lot better than Rusty Smith. We need to tank this seasons away anyways and draft Winston.

 

My question to you guys.

If Locker has a decent game against Indy and we win, then has two really good games against Cleveland and the Jags, before going into the bye, does he win anyone's trust back??

Or is the Locker experience a wrap?

 

I said it before this week that Locker would need a month of solid games before I changed my opinion.

The only way to change it back now is for him to put up all-pro numbers in a healthy season. He is just too wildly inconsistent, and it has been far too long since he 'wowed' anyone.

 

Yeah, enough is enough at this point. 4 seasons, countless injuries and tons of mistakes and we're ready for a change.

 

Mike didn't do it right, he only got a part of the ear, you gotta get the whole thing.

 

In terms of our record, we are exactly where I thought we would be. I figured we would end Sept. 1 and 3. New coaching staff and 3 tough road games was 3 losses in my book.

The frustrating thing is the regression of Locker. You can't win games in this league with such poor QB play.

Just winning the next 3 games will not earn my trust back. For Locker to win my trust back he has to play 6 or 8 consistently good games where he shows command of the offense by making smart decisions and showing pocket presence.

Your team will go nowhere if your QB has bad games on a consistent basis.

 

At this point a month wouldn't do it. Even if we somehow make it to the playoffs with Locker under center, he is waaaay to inconsistent.
