Guys it's not like the opportunity cost for drafting Jake was that bad. We only allowed a division rival to get JJ Watt.

Doesn't matter. A few more games like this and he's literally going to be getting booed off the field at LP.

Jake is already done. It's just a matter of when Whis is going to come to terms with it.

    No.

    I "liked" Locker just fine.

I just could easily say he'd suck as an NFL QB.

This isn't rocket science: If a QB sucks in college (Locker, Gabbert, etc)... why the ckuf could you think they'll magically turn out to be good in a much harder league?

I won't even go a few more games..... the first home game was a disaster and now they say they don't want cowboy fans to show up but our team is playing their 2nd home game which will most likely be vs the browns at a 1-3 record. They really show no hope with this team to improve and if they go 3 and out on the first drive in our next home game I will say he gets booed right off the field. I also would not spend my hard earned money to come see this team play until they make changes!

9then10 tagged this statement as "bull****"... I guess he disagrees and thinks Jake WOULD be great. Interesting...

I don't see why you can't have both. The read-option is remarkably effective in the NFL is executed correctly. The caviat is being able to accurately throw as well. Russel Wilson is a prime example...he executes a great read option because his throwing ability HAS to be respected.

I'd love to see us go after Marcus Mariota in the draft.

i'd rather just have someone that can play quarterback, a real quarterback, i don't care for the option i really just don't.

Exactly. Sure, having both qualities is ideal. If you could have Peyton Manning with Michael Vick's legs you'd take that all day every day. It's just that you shouldn't prioritize athleticism or running ability higher than basic QB fundamentals and mechanics. And that's exactly what we've done with our last two top-10 QB picks.
