Does Verner play for the Titans or TB? They coud have offered more money than they did. Since he's no longer here, he left, and theTitans got nothing in return. That is my definition of "let him walk". What is yours?

    Not offering him a contract...

I mean, you have to be unbelievably dense to know that the Titans offered the guy more money and still stick to your (bs) belief that the front office won't spend money. How about Levitre huh? How about the attempt to land Manning huh?

But it doesn't matter. You have in your head that the front office won't pay, and it doesn't matter what facts are presented that counter that, you are incapable of admitting you were wrong.

    Pathetic junior, pathetic.

For some teams, they're ok with trying to get by with a small budget. It's more about making money than winning. If you don't think that's true then you are very ignorant. Look at the A's for example. They don't even try to keep any of their great players. They just develop players then sell them/trade them.

I'm one who gripes about Titans spending on quality. I don't feel they've been cheap the past two years.

Unfortunately, it appears they've made poor decisions on who they have spent on. Levitre hasn't done chit. Appears to be a big waste. We'll see about Woodyard and others the next couple of games.

Maybe we should hire Lucca Brazi (may be off on the spelling) to help with these offers (make the players offers that cannot be refused).

Oh wait, he is dead...need to find someone like him.

I agree completely. That is why I have never been that upset to see him go. He has a good corner, not a great one. Hate it when we lose good players, but if he could be so disloyal to the guys he played with over a coaches actions he obviously didn't care much about the players, the fans, or the team.

Say what you want I know what I read. And there is no doubt that he knew Gray was gone, but he felt disrespected that the Titans allowed it. I cannot believe you do not remember the story. I will try to find it.

It wasn't about money for Verner. He wanted out of Tennessee. The Titans never had a shot at Verner. The Titans have not been cheap. It would have been absolutely retarded for the Titans to pay both McCourty and Verner anyhow. The money has to be spread around all positions.
