Who said Jake can't repeat his week 1 performance? His week 1 performance wasn't anything special either. And the fact that people have to cling to slightly above-average games like that to make a case for him speaks volumes.

You're acting like 266 yards and two TDs is some magnificent feat that could never possibly be accomplished by a backup or a rookie QB.

At Jake's absolute best he is just above average. I think he's capable of repeating his week one performance against another scrub ass team but I am positive that for everyone one of those performances we'll see 2 or 3 that resemble the last two weeks and probably 2 more injuries to boot.

I was for Locker. I thought if he could get healthy he could be steady enough to get us to the playoffs. Not anymore. Time to do the equivalent of Suck for Luck and get Mariota.

Lets be honest and stop over exaggerating Locker's faults.

Some of you guys act like he has never played a game of football in his life.

Locker, very easily, could go out there and throw for 3Tds and 350 yards. He could hit his players in stride and play an all pro type game. He has done it before.

He could also go out there and only complete 5 passes before the half and throw a pick right before half time.

That is the bottom line, you never know what you are going to get with him. Saying he is a guaranteed loss is wrong, and saying the guy isn't accurate is wrong. Saying the guy can look like anywhere from Steve Young to Tim Tebow in the course of 3 weeks is accurate.

Bunch of prima donna **** tards.

Well considering he's never thrown for 350 yards in his career and has only had 3TDs in one game I'd say it's highly unlikely, would you not?

The guy has 21 starts under his belt. 21. And he has two 300+ yard games and has only thrown for more than one TD 6 times. So 71% of the time he throws for either 1 or 0 TDs.

I mean, my god, it's absolutely mind-blowing how much people want to exaggerate how "good" he has been. It's just not the truth.

While we're in "let's be honest" mode, the honest truth is Jake has only played exceptionally well in two games in his career... DET in 2012 and NYJ in 2013. If you want to throw the SD game from last year in there even though he really only had one great play I'll allow it just because 3 exceptional games isn't much better than 2 when you're talking about a guy with 21 starts. And it's honestly just kinda sad to think our 4th year QB has only had two great games in his career.

I don't think anyone really believes it's an automatic loss with Jake under center. We're just fed up and have seen enough. The guy hasn't progressed nearly enough and it's hard to believe something is suddenly gonna click for him in the coming weeks when it hasn't clicked for him in 3+ years so far.

He's bad a lot. He's average a lot. And he's great once in a blue moon. That's not good enough. Next man up please.

    LOL Steve Young my @$$.

Yeah, what he said. I admit there are some elements of hyperbole in my posts but that's just for fun, the actual truth is damning enough at this point. At one point I thought that saying Jake would have a 41.9 passer rating and a 50% completion rating was an exaggeration yet here we are. Also Tim Tebow has accomplished more in this league than Jake has. Let that sink in for a second.

I just hate that people keep clinging to these extremely rare "flashes" he's shown. If you are going to trot a guy out as your starter year after year, then yeah he's gonna do some good things every now and then, just out of sheer volume of opportunity. But if you look at the overall body of work it's really not even debatable that Jake sucks.

As far as on-the-field performance goes, there's literally nothing you can say about Jake's career thus far that you couldn't also say about Vince Young's. Let that sink in for a second.

I don't think he's the biggest Jake supporter in the world. He just wanted to take a shot at us for being "primadonnas".

I don't think so either. But at this point anytime someone wants to play that "when he's good he's REALLY good" card I'm going to be sure to throw the cold hard facts in their face. It's beyond ridiculous and it's a perfect example of a lie being told over and over again so much that it becomes accepted as a fact.

The fact that we're at a point where in his 4th year we're just hoping Jake can play well enough to not lose us the game should really tell us all we need to know.
