Don't be a hater. Pollard makes a tangible difference on the field. Good for at least one 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty per game.

He's also Griffin's keeper. We have to keep Pollard around just to make it 11 on 11, otherwise Griffin is such a liability he might as well be a WR on the other team.

I'm usually one of the people sticking up for Pollard. And I really wanted to believe he was the guy who was going to inject some toughness and fight into this sissy @$$ defense we've had over the past several years. But it's becoming painfully apparent that he's just a lot of talk and not as much of a leader as he is made out to be. In retrospect it should've been easy to see considering so many teams have been so quick to cut him loose over the years.

This is the same weak @$$ defense we've always had just lined up in a different formation.

    So then whats the problem?

No good push from the big guys? Poor coverage? bad tackling?

All of the above. We've got a CB4/5 playing CB2. Our secondary still gets juked out of their shoes in the open field far too often.

But probably the biggest things holding us back IMO is that we lack a true force at NT and our LBs are terrible. Until we find answers at those spots we might as well go back to the 4-3. Maybe Zach Brown would've made a difference. Maybe not. I guess, as usual, "we'll find out next year".

Your LBs need to be the strength of your defense in a 3-4 and they're not even close on our squad. Unfortunately it looks like we may need to blow this LB group up already. I've been awaiting for Almost Morgan to make a play for 5 years now.

I've always thought he runs his mouth when it's not his place.

Like last year, first year on the team, talking like he is Wycheck, Kearse, McNair, And Eddie George all rolled into one.

He is 100 percent correct in what he is saying, but just because something is true, doesn't mean that he should blurt it out at first possibility.

Him saying that he wouldn't support the team if he were a fan, helps no one and nothing.

I actually thought we needed someone to say the things that needed to be said. I didn't really care that it was his first year on the team. But my problem is here we are 20 games later, and this defense is just as soft as it ever was.

fair enough, but what did his talking accomplish? did it really "need" to be said, then? Especially to the media? If he said it to his teammates, that's different.

Being a malcontent to the media does no good for anybody.
