No, we can't stop pretending it wasn't about talent.

22 touchdowns last year and 11 of them came against UAB, Kent State and Furman. Other nine games he threw 11 TDs and six INTs.

It was the same story in 2012. Five TD passes against North Texas, Towson and Idaho. Seven in the other 10 games to go along with five picks.

    Dude sucks.

Last time I checked the qb is not the problem,(a lil)but we need to do an overhaul on defense, starting at linebackers and defensive backs....heck the whole defense....

Yup, just offer your opinion as if it refutes anything I posted. How about the 10-3 and 9-3 seasons. The dude won games and showed an NFL skill-set while doing it. Maybe his play will eventually vindicate you since that is always a possibility but for now I'll take the word of guys that do this for a living. Just know that you saying he was purely a 6th round pick due to talent is FACTUALLY incorrect. Be as salty as you want but you can't just re-write history because you disagree with it.

QBs are not pitchers. A former #10 who played for the Titans won far more games as a starter than he lost. He still sucked.

That's Wht you get when Webster drafts players from conneticut,Wyoming, like bleh wilson,Michael huff, sensabough etc....Webster should know these kids like huff and bleh Wilson went to Connecticut and Wyoming, because out of high school no one wanted them on there college team,so they went to Wyoming....I mean who chooses Wyoming or Connecticut if a big name school wanted you....

Except that like I said Mett displayed an NFL skill-set while doing it."The other guy" didn't. That's the distinction. And even if you disagree you can't just pretend no one else saw 2nd-3rd round level talent in the guy.

Our last starter could barely win games and complete more than 55% of his passes at f*cking Washington. I really don't think we can downgrade anymore than that.

So he is a 6th round pick. First round picks aren't cutting it either. Who says he is going to be the best QB in the league? We need to evaluate all our roster and see who can and can't play. That what the master plan needs to be.

Last time I looked Even free agents still could make a team and contribute. Locker is not the answer. And if Mett sucks then as for as getting a high draft choice then is that hurting us?

NFL skill set is now inaccuracy and throwing up jump balls. News to me.

Dude throws hard. That's his best attribute. If only the NFL was about throwing the ball through a brick wall.

If it makes you guys feel any better, I like Mettenberger more than Manziel...
