Not to mention if he hits that easy throw he never gets injured diving into the endzone....

Neither was I. I said this in another thread, but it's like people want to judge Jake on the "Jake Locker Scale" and not the "Starting NFL QB Scale". Yes, he was accurate on Sunday, for Jake. But it's not like he still wasn't missing some easy throws that a supposed "franchise QB" should not be missing in his 4th year.

If you can't count on your QB to be accurate on a weekly basis, what good is he?

If you can't count on your QB to actually be on the field more often than he's standing on the sidelines, what good is he?

One of those things is bad enough. Jake is both of those things.

Let me clear it up. I don't care if we win another gamethis season provided we are playing the "long game" which is getting our young guys game experience to better build our talent depleted roster and get a true need read at QB and other positions.

I said "ownership and FO" were probably putting heavy pressure on whiz to get us in the POs which would guide his choice for CBJ. Not me.

We blew a 25 point lead at half. That is historically bad. We've lost a key D "leader" also. This team is going nowhere.

I like Jake. I've always said he's exactly the type of guy you want to be your franchise QB. But if you're not accurate and can't stay healthy hit the road. "Nice" doesn't win games.

So season-ticket holders are supposed to support a franchise that doesn't play their best players after the fifth week of the regular season?

THAT, I would hold the front office responsible for.

Nobody saying that. I said our youngest. And I admit I've given up on the playoffs for this team. This organization would rather be stuck in "middle hell" with meaningless wins than bite the bullet and do a thorough vetting. Unfortunately that formula no longer translates into ticket sales.

PSL holders are dropping their tix left and right. Ownership would be wise to state that we are going to have to play the long game to improve the quality of our player personnel to a truly competitive level.

That might even mean replacing our BM, errr I mean GM Ruston Webster.

I want Mett to start right now, because we are in the danger zone of probably missing out on another QB with our "future 2015 top 5 pick".

What if we start Mett the last 2 games of the year and he comes out and plays like how Billy Volek would do from time to time? That just might be enough to influence the FO to not draft a QB next year with our "future 2015 top 5 pick".

Let's say Mett comes out and lights it up in the final 2 games of the season. Would I consider him to be our savior at QB? No. What if he comes out and totally bombs the final 2 games of the season. Would I consider him to not be our savior at QB? No.

With how bad this team is playing, we will get that top 5 pick and we really need to evaluate the most important position on the field with much needed time and experience, instead of waiting for the final 2 games.

I just don't want to give Mett the nod the final 2 games and he lights it up and we pass on a QB with our "future 2015 top 5 pick".

I have faith that Mett can make us pass on a QB in the 1st round next year, but we as a franchise need to give him his due.

Same difference when your youngest isn't your best.

It's waaaaaaaaay premature to call for Mett right now. This team should have won Sunday. They better win next Sunday. A win at Washington and home against Houston isn't a pipe dream unless Whiz decides to start Mett this Sunday.

Now, if the Titans go into the bye 1-7 or 2-6, then that's a different story.
