Big thanks to Roos who was probably the best overall player the Titans has had the last decade. He was the model of quality and consistency up to the last couple of seasons. I wish him nothing but the best.

I suspect we'll really miss him if Lewan doesn't grow up fast.

Roos is/was the only Fisher era player I wanted around when we moved on from Vince/Fish. I felt the locker room was toxic and that he was the only one professional and still talented enough to still be around.

Unfortunate how such a great player never got the recognition he deserved because he played on such terrible team the majority of his career.

he's made 52 million since 2008. I think he'll be ok. He's made 6+ mil for the past 2 years for being horrible. He should have been cut or traded over a year ago.

Everything is true except for the missing him part, IMO. Can't get much worse.

Lewan has to get a grasp on his personal foul issues. He likes to play after the whistle and that stuff doesn't work anymore in the NFL.

No doubt about that. the dude is a hotheaded doofus. I really don't like him. That would be one of the only advantages Roos has on him, though. This OL has been a sinkhole for the past few years. We've changed 100 percent of the personnel, now.. and the exact same problems remain. Threw every possible cent at the OL, and it's still horrible. I don't get it.

Warmack was a huge mistake, as was Levitre. But better to waste money on a player than a top 15 draft pick. That's why Warmack is the worst mistake, IMO.

Lewan may be as well, but It's too early for me to paint him as horrible yet. He sure is hard to root for, though.

Not even in the 59-0 loss against the Pats was I so "down" on a roster of players. All of the bad drafts in the past 5 years or so are rearing their ugly head.

I have about as little faith is Ruston as anyone. But I'm not mad at him for not trading Roos. In fact I think keeping him around was the smart move. Without him our line would've been:

rookie, Levitre (terrible), 2nd year guy, 2nd year guy, Oher.

Declining or not, I'll take the additional experience on the OL than an extra 6th or 7th round pick. Because let's be real, if we had traded him we weren't getting anything more than that. The guy's 32yo and if all of us can see that his play has significantly declined then you can bet GMs around the league can see it too.

I wonder about the Titans and their knowledge of injuries that they don't report. It was curious how CJ played through a torn MCL last year and we found out after the season was over. The Lewan pick indicates they knew Roos might need surgery.

The Lewan pick does not indicate that at all. Roos was entering a contract year and we saw a top graded LT slide and we jumped on him.
