I do not, have never and will never get the "losing is best for this team" mindset.
There is no magical DP# that is a sure thing. Russell Wilson was the 75th pick..

    Draft smarter, not higher.

    4-4 puts us in great position. As it stands now the AFC playoffs would be;

    1
    San Diego
    West4-1-0
    2
    Cincinnati
    North3-1-0
    3
    Indianapolis
    South3-2-0
    4
    Buffalo
    East3-2-0
    5
    Denver
    West3-1-0
    6
    Houston
    South3-2-0

if we knock Houston down in 3 weeks we're all of a sudden right in this thing

Honestly, I agree. I was just picking at the poor drafting the titans have done for a while now. But, a higher pick does leave the option for trades and gives you a better chance of getting the guy you want before someone else gets them.

You can't judge who is going to the playoffs at this point..but you can look at certain teams and pretty much tell if they have any hope. The Titans aren't a team that many would say had any hopes of turning around for a playoff push. Crazy things can happen...but I think its more likely that we get beat by the Jags and it sends this team deeper in the abyss.

For pro teams, you need to win as much as you possibly can. Tanking is not a sure bet to work, there are too many variables at play when it comes to draft picks. Your best bet is to field a team that can compete, prepare to compete and then go out and compete, week in and week out.

I still feel it is too early to give up on this season. If we are 4-4 at the bye week, I still say as long as Houston has "Andy from the Hangover" at QB, and we get Indy at home, anything is possible. Next year is not promised, what we have is right now. This team is better than it has played the last 4 weeks, just need to get the dead weight out the way (all these vets that now have "injuries" are just dead weight to me).

I really think the mental weakness is what's wrong. Didn't they all get new IPads with all the plays on it? Did they erase them and find some bowling games to play instead?

There is just not enough talent on this team, even when everyone is playing good to inspire much confidence. Even our few "stars" (if we have any?)are not playing well. None of the players brought in this offseason are difference makers. The team looks lost and like all of the wind has been taken out out of the sail after just 5 games.

We will lose this weekend. We lose to the Jags every year.

We gave them their first W last year. Why not do it again?

I really hope this doesn't happen but if we go into the bye 4-4, it'll be another 7-9/8-8 season, which honestly is the worst thing that could happen to the franchise at this point. You get no top flight talent in the draft, the QB's that are worth taking early are likely gone and we're left with scraps and a lot of holes to fill.
