The next realistic chance for a win is Dec 14 vs the Jets.

I'd rather lose with Mett than lose with Jake/CBJ. If Mett is in there, no one will care if we win or lose, all eyes will just be on how he looks and progresses throughout the season.

If Jake/CBJ are in there, still no one will care if we win, they will just be waiting for Mett to get put in there.

I'm assuming you're referring to Jameis Winston as "Mole". I'm curious... seriously not trying to hate... how many full FSU or Oregon games have you watched? Admittedly I didn't watch much A&M or Ohio State, but I did watch the Oregon and UCLA game very closely. There were times when Mariota faced untouched pressure up the middle and stood tall to deliver a dime.

As far as Winston goes, I've seen all his games and sometimes twice. That dude seems to play better when he faces pressure. If you don't want him due to his off field immaturity... hey I get it.. I can't get on your case about that. However, for anyone to say that he doesn't have the talent or that he's another VY, clearly has never seen him play. The VY comments are just absurd I won't even spend energy defending that.

I've seen nothing... literally nothing... to justify your "freaking out" comment.

You're criticizing those two QBs but say Mett is leader. In what way? Don't get me wrong I want to see him succeed with us. I say start him after the bye. Just don't forget this is a guy that got kicked out of his first school and had plenty of off field issues himself. Last I checked Winston "lead" his team to a National Championship and a 23-0 record. Can he keep it going and go back to back???... Who knows? I certainly hope so, but FSU is a different team than last year. Up to this point in time though, any ON-field criticism is not justified.. for either of these two guys.

You want to see a leader and a guy stand in the pocket with NO fear??? Watch the second half of the FSU ND game. Check out the National Championship while you're at it too.

    My kind of post!

Clearly people just associate Jameis with VY because uhh uhh uh I'll let people guess. Their games couldn't be more opposite. Jameis football IQ is spectacular. Off field not so much.

Like I have said this is a great draft. Winston has proved he can win and the other picks fill needs
    Winston 1st
    Denzal Peeryman 2nd
    Eric Rowe 3rd
    Jamison Crowder 4th

I'm stating a mobile quarterback is the LAST thing we should think about right now.. and that why are we talking about the draft in terms of a Quarterback need when we haven't even seen Mett yet --

I'm comparing him to VY because after seeing VY, a mobile quarterback freaks me (and plenty of other titan fans) out ... always throws up a red flag -- so call it biased towards Vince Young performance alone... but until I have something to base off of aside from collegiate performances (note: VY played in a time where the Big 12 was a powerhouse conference, and was a premier candidate heading into the draft, as is Mariota and Jameis)

Mettenberger doesn't scare me because he doesn't think scramble scramble scramble.. he sets his feet and throws. Statistically, mobile quarterbacks throw more INTS than those QBs who are pocket passers.. That is why I'm ready to see Mettenberger and fully close a file on him as "NOT THE QB" if he's not the answer we're looking for before I start fully committing the possibility of our first round draft pick (when our defense is bleeding) to certain *at risk* QBS and/or projects.

No one is really comparing the play of Jameis and VY, comparing them in college they play almost completely different style of games. Issue is, maturity. His off field issues. Innocent till proven guilty? Sure. But you can't honestly believe it's all sunshine and rainbows for Winston. After missing on VY and now Jake Locker. We don't need to draft a red flag. Missing out on a 3rd straight QB could absolutely cripple the franchise. I get that Winston is a good player on the field and he's definitely a top 10 talent but the risk outweighs the reward. If we draft Jameis and he ends up getting in trouble then we're screwed again. More rebuilding, another new staff, and looking at another 2-3 years in addition to our process right now before we're contenders. Also, Jameis is not a perfect QB. Take off the FSU glasses, even great college QBs flop in the NFL. He still has some work to do.

That being said, would I take Jameis? I don't know. When draft time rolls around we'll have a clear answer.
