    Yes it is.

I've got a feeling that the NFL wouldn't pee on Nashville if it were on fire. If the NFL starts rotating cities for the NFL draft (big F'n deal anyway) Nashville will likely be 32nd on that list.

Preds have been subpar for a few seasons (admittedly less than a decade) but still there is an unmatched amount of energy in that stadium vs. LP.

In-game stuff is funny, crowd is more lively, it's just fun. Titans games seem more like a labor of love to visit, anymore.

Never ever thought I'd see the day where I liked hockey more than Football.. but it is here. Titans and the NFL have totally lost their luster.. and only reason I stay connected to football at all is because of GoTitans, My dad, and my best friend.

Neal is not looking good so far.. but that Forsberg-Roy-Smith line is looking really good. And Jokinen has been a good pickup so far as well. For 4 million between jokinen-Roy-Ribeiro-Volchenkov, Preds got one heck of a deal.

Roy essentially won us 1 point in the standings with this play alone

It's VERY early in the season (3 games in) so it's almost impossible to tell who will struggle and who will thrive.

Neal obviously has a certain expectation hovering over his shoulders as the guy who will be "the scorer" for the Preds, coming from a scoring-heavy offense in Pittsburgh. I think with a little time and team bonding/chemistry, he will start netting them consistently.

As for the all-star game, it's really big not only for the team, but for the city. Nashville is one of the fastest growing cities in the country, and the ASG is going to help showcase the city and bring a big boost the economy (Columbus is estimating a 12mill bump to theirs this year from the ASG). Hockey is thriving and growing a lot faster in Nashville than the Titans. From the increased numbers in attendance, to new facilities being built like the Ford Ice Center in Antioch, it's growing.

The energy is definitely more alive and exciting at Bridgestone than LP. I think hockey as a sport is just more exciting, given it's constant action and the excitement of a play building up that leads to a goal. The Nashville Predators have come a looong ways from what they used to be, but it seems as if the market is finally starting to grow and Nashville is finding it's place as a great place to watch hockey.

A quote from Eklund (huge flyers fan), the guy over at Hockeybuzz:

"This is awesome. As many of you know I am a huge proponent of the city of Nashville and hockey, and there couldn't be a better place to host an All-Star game than Nashville. If you have never visited Nashville for a hockey game you really haven't seen the best all around hockey/cultural/party experience in the NHL.

I myself am taking my family down on December 27...just as a fan just to show my kids and my wife what it's all about. They have heard me go on and on and on about it."

Meh, I'll take the point. Not a pretty way to lose, though.

Maybe Nashville will have a playoff team this season. Certainly wont be in football. By the way, the Preds app for phones has the audio stream to every game so you can hear everything. Pretty cool. I watch the score for every game live, or listen on the app.
