after a hundred, safe to say you can stop calling it bad luck and call it horrendous scouts and management

    I don't blame the scouts or management(to a degree).

We pick from the same pool and talent level. The fact these guys often become worse after their rookie years falls on development/coaching. I've never bought into the idea, with the exception of very rare cases, that non elite talent will preform while being surrounded by a below average coaching staff. Ayers probably needed a fresh start.

    true

but Ayers has the whole 43 LB thing going against him here. Not that he was great in the 43 but at least he saw the field. Guess the staff had zero trust in him after watching his 2013 freelance tape.

Patriots play both 34 & 43 depending on opponent, at least the last time we played them.

    They still doing that?

either way Ayers was doing nothing but taking a roster spot so good riddence.

it will be the typical for X-Titans

totally ignored while in Nashville, but once they leave their talent will be talked about by the MSM.

IDK of many ex-Titans that go on to do greater things after they've left Nashville.

We have usually gotten out at just the right time. Dogged a huge bullet with Haynesworth. Jevon Kearse wanted to get paid and left to Philly and did nothing. Bulluck tore an ACL before we sent him packing. Is Chris Johnson killing it in New York? IDK what lost Titan fans can look to and say we blew it with that one.

Obviously trading away a 2nd round player from 2011 for a 6th rounder in 2015 seems like a bust, but its better than losing him and getting nothing when his contract expires this March.

If we're backing out on Ayers there's a good reason. Strangely he's not doing well in the new 3-4 defense after playing that role in college. Im just glad to see we're turning trash into a future player.

Try a 6th rounder alright but we had to add our 7th round pick with Ayers to make the trade.

I was right when I talked of this teams turn over rate looking to be something of a complete rebuild next year.

I'm pretty unimpressed that we couldn't find ANYWAY to get ayers on the field and instead we gave him away. Sure, a second three years ago means nothing at this point but it's a huge hit when you think about what we could possibly gave instead.

Webster, I'm starting to think maybe you arnt neo. Maybe you arnt the one homie. Just maybe we need to let you go scout for the Jeff fishers of the world.

This team will go no where until we land a true starting quality QB. Defense or not.

Virtually nothing changes for either team except now there will be a guy walking around New England calling Devon McCourty Jason.

This may sound shallow, but if you go thru Akeem Ayers' social media accounts, he seems kinda girly. Maybe the dude stopped caring about football, the effort level on film wasn't always there in 2013. You can't hang that on the front office if a dude turns out to be gay.
