Just comparing the stats of rookie QBs to week 8 ... just for fun/informative/comparative purposes. No point trying to be made ( I will let everyone else do that)

    Blake Bortles - 18/34 (53%) - 221 yards - 1/2 TD/int

    Teddy Bridgewater - 24/42 (57%) - 241 yards - 1/0 TD/int

    Derek Carr - 34/54 (63%) - 328 yards - 1/0 TD/int

    Zach Mettenberger - 27/41 (66%) - 299 yards - 2/1 TD/int

    Did I miss anyone?

Also worth comparing all their 1st starts
    Zach Mettenberger - 27/41 (66%) - 299 yards - 2/1 TD/int
    Derek Carr - 20/32 (62.5) - 151 yards - 2/0 TD/int
    Teddy Bridgewater - 19/30 (63.3%) - 317 yards - 0/0 TD/int
    Blake Bortles - 29/37 (78.4%) - 254 yards - 1/2 TD/int

I just did this with Manning, Marino, Brees, Brady, and Favre. Only Brees and Marino did slightly better.

The garbage time TD skews the numbers a bit. A lot of his incompletions looked Jake Locker bad, and a lot of his passes were high percentage passing plays like screens, and that Walker touchdown was a well designed play. there wasn't a defender in sight. But he gets credit for putting the ball where it needed to be, on that play.
He did have that one really nice long completion, too.

He wasn't great. But still way better than the multimillionaire Jay Cutler. Lol. What a sack of $&!t.
