Fat Chance sucks again. I'm really starting to develop a hate for him.

    Chance Warmack, G: -3.2

Breakdown: The tenth overall pick in the 2013 draft has struggled to live up to the lofty expectations of a guard drafted that high. Warmack was always going to be in for a long day as he had to face the best player in the league in J.J. Watt. In Pass Protection he allowed one sack and two hurries, with his difficulties extending to the run game.

Signature Play: 4Q 2:12. J.J. Watt is able to swim pass Warmack making him look like he wasn’t there for a tackle for loss on the 2 point try near the end of the game.

No Mr Commentator, he's never going to be good guard.

Ya know, this might end up being our worst first round pick ever. It's one thing for a 1st round QB, WR, DB to bust. Those guys are always gambles. But you take a friggin GUARD in the top 10 because he's supposedly so "NFL ready" you damn sure better hit on the pick.

During the game on that play, the announcer even said "They didn't block Watt on that play" ... They actually didn't notice until the replay that Chance was supposed to block him

I hate to say I told you so, but...

During the lead up to the draft I said he would likely be a very average guard at best, but hell he's not even average. I got grief for calling him Andre Smith version 2.0 that can't even play RT. Oh well just another in the long line of misses in the draft.

Especially when you know that Munch (a HOF guard and highly touted OL coach) was probably pushing for this pick

And again, like I said earlier, this is what happens when you draft by need instead of taking BPA.

Actually Jake Locker is a better example of drafting need. That said, Warmack could have been BPA that's how sad our front office could potentially be. None of us have seen their board so there is no way in knowing what approach they are taking towards the drafting.

Locker over Watt was the example I used this morning.

The poor play of the OL in terms of actually blocking and penalties is by far and away the most disappointing aspect of this season to me. They were the one group that I thought would be above average with decent depth.

I expected Chance and Levitre to both improve from last yr, but I haven't seen it yet. When you have a top 10 pick at one guard and the 3rd highest paid OG in the league on the other side then you should have a solid OL.
