    2014 draft class

T Taylor Lewan (1), RB Bishop Sankey (2), DL DaQuan Jones (4), DB Marqueston Huff (4), LB Avery Williamson (5), QB Zach Mettenberger (6)

Too early to tell, but looks like Lewan is will be a good pick. Lots of people were mad at this pick, but its hard to argue that Lewan was BPA. Also shows some foresight by ol' Ruston, we would be totaly screwed right now if we didn't have Lewan.

Sankey looks like he could be a solid player. Hard to get anything going with this OL, and the fact that we have to abandon the run game so quickly as we fall behind.

Williamson and Mettenberger may one day turn out to be real steals ... but only time will tell.

    2013 draft class

G Chance Warmack (1), WR Justin Hunter (2), CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson (3), LB Zaviar Gooden (3), C Brian Schwenke (4), DE Lavar Edwards (5), CB Khalid Wooten* (6), S Daimion Stafford (7).

I think Chance was a Munchak pick. I know that Webster was the GM, but Munch is a good talker, and probably convinced Ruston that he could develop chance ... also didn't hurt that the rest of the world thought he was a 'cant miss' prospect.

Hunter ... the jury is still out on him IMO. Sure he is having some issues now, but receivers often don't blossom until year 3. Plus he has had no consistency at QB. I will withhold judgement until next season.'

BWW ... He is getting the trial by fire now. CB is not an easy position to step in and play. He is showing some progress, and by the time he comes into camp next year, he might have enough experience and growth as a player to be a solid #2 CB.

Schwenke is about what you can expect from a 4th rounder. The fact that Chance and Levitre suck so bad is hurting him though.

    2012 draft

WR Kendall Wright (1), LB Zach Brown** (2), DT Mike Martin (3), CB Coty Sensabaugh (4), TE Taylor Thompson (5), S Markelle Martin (6), DE Scott Solomon (7).

This one sucks. Wright is really the only player worth anything. Coty is decent I guess for a 4th round pick

His drafts have sucked and his track record in free agency is even worse.

Levitre. Lol. Welsey Woodyard. Lol. Dexter McCluster. LOLOLOL. Sammie Hill. Lol.

Meanwhile, our depth at CB has consisted of nothing but mid/late draft picks and we've been one injury away from being proper ****ed at that position for years.

Whoever is responsible for the Griffin contract needs to be ****ing shot.

    To all:

Just WTF has Webster done to inspire confidence he is capable of directing a successful re-build?

We have spiraled further downward after he got his hands on player personnel- first as VP of PP now as GM.

    Let me summarize:

No immediate impact players. And that's what early 1st rounders are supposed to do.

Save the excuses. We've heard all of those for 10 years now as we flounder.

I guess/think the best you can say now is the Casey contract and the Delanie Walker signing. I suppose (as I premised) you could add that we have plenty of cap space and current player friendly cap contracts that allow us to add and extend at will.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not opposed to a changing in GM at all. I just don't have the vitriol that some do towards Webster. Maybe if there some valid information regarding specific moves made while VP of player personnel that can be directly attributed to RW, that would change my opinion. But it's hard to damn him completely when we don't really know how much impact he had in the collaborative process at that time.

So not that this has anything really important, but I did not want to make a thread for this.

So I seen Bishop Sankey post something about being back in the 330 ( area code ) for his bye week.

I am also from the 330 with such greats like LeBron James. Anyway I had no clue Sankey was from that part of Ohio. Did a little research and found out he is from Wadsworth.

Our HS plays Wadsworth, so there is a possibility I could of played against Bishop. If I didn't I don't remember him. Lol

Edit: NVM did a little more research and he went to a prep school in WA. Still from the 330 tho.

Either quit bashing Hill or start watching the games.

Its hard to sift through all the suck, but Hill has played well.

I am not a fan of RW, but this past draft could end up being a very damn good one if Mett works out.
