So first he didn't play for us (except for 3 seasons starting) and now he didn't play in the new system. If you aren't practicing well and you got 2-3 games worth of snaps in pre-season and stink up the joint, why would we be playing him when he hasn't earned it. He earned his spot on a lower depth chart spot. Good players on bad teams don't look horrible...especially pass rushing LB's.

Some of the stuff you say makes me think you don't actually watch football. Ever heard of a guy named Barry Sanders? He played on a LOT of terrible teams and looked so 'bad' all the way to the Hall of Fame!!!

The problem is your theories don't work and when given examples of this you make up more stuff that isn't true and doesn't work. Coaching does matter. Playing on a winning team vs a losing team matters. But you can't really make the claim Ayers is a good player who played poorly because the whole team stinks.

Go watch some college games. Good players on terrible teams ARE the players who STAND OUT!!!

 

You couldn't be more WRONG. First off Sanders was a GREAT player. I said GOOD players.

The problem all comes down to Whiz being too stubborn to adapt his system to his players. He has a system in a place with a bunch of players that don't fit his system. That's the reason we are struggling. GREAT coaches adapt their system to the type of players they have. Whiz is just a stubborn *******.

Coaching doesn't matter when it comes to having an overall good team or not. In order to be a good team you have to have a franchise QB. For example. Manning could be on a team with the worst coach and they would still be contenders.

 

We will really never know about this Ayers thing because I can't see how Groves was active on gameday while Ayers wasn't?

 

Ayers is a 1-trick pony. Both games in which he got a sack he was allowed to rush. Would you trust him in coverage? If you want sack numbers let's just call Jason Babin again...
