Who is "they"? Whoever "they" are, I'm pretty sure "they" talk about the Vols every year too.

They talk about the vols and their difficult schedule since they play in the most dominant best conference in the country with the toughest competition where real competitors play.

The Alabama bias on full display this week.

A schedule of WVU, FAU, Southern Miss, UF, Ole Miss(loss), Ark, TA&M and Tenn is no better than anything TCU or Notre Dame have put on the field.

Now, if they beat Miss St, Auburn and LSU rank them as highly as you want, but up to this point their resume is nothing special.

Which is why this system is sooo much better. It doesn't matter what a team's ranking is right now. If Alabama finishes with one loss, they are in because of their body of work. Same with any other team.

I don't understand the whining about bias right now. It really doesn't matter.

Now, what will be interesting is if the season ends with an undefeated FSU, and Bama, MichiganSU, MississippiSU, TCU, ND, and Oregon all with one loss. What will the committee do with that?

    1. FSU
    2. Bama(assuming Miss St's loss is to Bama)
    3. TCU
    4. Oregon

Head-to-head should mean something, so Oregon should AT LEAST be seeded higher than Msu and Bama higher than Miss State.

I've been a firm believer in conference champion being some sort of factor for a few years, which would be my reasoning for leaving Miss St out. Another reason I'm trying not to get too worked up about the rankings, there is still a factor TBD until the last week of the season.

Bama beats Miss St. and then has the "honor" of playing another game in a championship game. TCU would have beaten every team in the Big XII except Baylor(lost by 3 on the road). Oregon will have beaten Mich St, UCLA and someone from Pac 12 South in the championship game. FSU is 13-0.

Mississippi State is left at the alter.

Still don't think we have that many one-loss teams at the end of the season. There is always some crap team that refuses to take its ass kicking.

Really? The SEC East is weak. The SEC East leader lost to INDIANA at home. Yes, that INDIANA who is 0 fer in the B1G this year. Give me a break. The SEC East has no claim of dominance.

It wasn't a national championship so the game doesn't count

I think we'll be able to score against Mich St's D. They are good but not quite as good as the past couple of years.

Honestly OSU's D has been a little disappointing for the past few years. There's been playmakers but there's been holes that you use to not see. The secondary always makes me a little nervous and Cook is good enough to make the throws if he gets the time. I'm hoping Bosa and company can get enough pressure not to get picked apart all night. If they can do that, I think OSU wins.
