Those fans are getting the job done and letting the jets know how they feel. They have 3 billboard around the stadium saying to fire the gm and they got a plane to fly over the stadium. I wish we had that support from our fan base in regards to being tired of losing and wanting change. We have 1 more win than the jets so lets not throw them under the bus because we have the same problems.

Hahaha that is what I find funny. In your own post you put all responsibility on Webster for bad drafting, and hope that he has NOTHING to do with this last one because it was good.

It just seems like people are looking for a scape goat to point a finger to as to why we are 2-6. Instead, maybe we need to take a breather and take a look at the whole picture.

Why would his drafts go from abysmal to good all the sudden?

Has to be because of Whiz.

A performance record, a good one with merit, will be constructed based upon attainable goals. We can't expect a guy, or multiple guys to have a magic eight-ball in their hands and grab tons of sure fire picks. Football just has too many variables.

Again, I ask that you all look through the lens of information he had at the time with the potential of a candidate. @RavensShallBurn mentioned taking Chance over Star.

Well we just got HAMMERED for poor O-line in the previous season. We had an offense at the time with a young QB who was injury prone and an offense that literally ran through the run. Additionally people were hyping Chance to be the greatest guard in decades.

On the other hand we had Star, who was up and down all over people's board with a heart condition. There was hype. He was definitely a name.

But with that context I can't fault Webster for going with that pick. He is going off:

    -Need
    -Best Player
    -Scheme
    -Potential

Those are all great mindsets I want in a GM to have when picking a player.

By that logic, shouldn't you be upset with Munch for the previous drafts?

Isn't it conceivable that Munch and Co. had their vision and wants and thus requests and demands for players. Webster would have to weigh that, to filter that information, but ultimately it would be his decision. Think congress and the president, right.

With Wiz, maybe it is a better fit. Maybe the stars aligned. Maybe Web feels like he doesn't have any old guard to work around. I don't know.

I have no idea, but I just assumed Webster was more involved with Munch. Munch wasn't a true head coach. He wouldn't have known what he was doing in the draft.

Not to sound like a d!ck, but you don't know that. I agree he wasn't a true head coach, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't influence Web's decision making. I'm not saying I'm right either.

I am saying we should really keep an open mind with Webster, and not necessarily discredit the amount of unknowns that come with that job.

Don't forget that Webster also did not want to go after Peyton Manning in 2012. He felt better rolling with Hasselbeck and Locker. Lol

That's a red flag as well.

Old senile Bud had to step in and force Webster and Munch's hand.
