I agree with others that he definitely doesn't fit Whis' style. If you're not going to change your offense slightly for him, then there's no point in taking him IMO. He's never gunna be a drop back pocket passer. And we all know Whis isn't going to change his offense for ANYONE, so....

I didn't say he got lucky at the end of games. I said he got lucky that he more of INT balls weren't actually intercepted. He's thrown several more balls that SHOULD have been intercepted and would have been in the NFL. He has played very well in the 2nd half and 4th quarters for the most part. Against luisville though I believe he threw his 3rd pick about the first possession of the 2nd half and got LUCKY Hollimon fumbled the ball on the return and FSU recovered it (so that actually helped them instead of hurt them). He got lucky again when Hollimon dropped another INT later. If Hollimon doesn't fumble and drop that...those 2 turnovers probably spell a loss for FSU. In addition, he threw another ball that would have been intercepted but a defender ran into the player that was about to catch it. That should have been 5 INT's!!! Did he play very well the rest of that half, yes. But 5 INT balls is not what I'm looking for in a top 3 NFL draft pick against the #1 defense. FSU had a lot of luck in that game.

Against Notre Dame he also could have ended up with 4 INT's. I don't just judge throws on whether they were completed, I judge the quality of the throw. If you throw a bad ball and it gets completed, the stats look good but I'm not sold. Too many iffy throws makes a projection to the NFL that much harder because most of those throws turn into incompletions or INT's. Look at Mariota. He has way more TD throws than Winston but most people think Winston is the better passer. Stats aren't everything or we wouldn't need to WATCH the games.

Hype is great until you're on an NFL roster and you have to prove yourself!

If the Titans were on the board with Mariota still available I would instantly hope that the rumor of Chip Kelly wanting him in Philly are true and we could swing a deal for the Eagles first 3 draft choices and Nick Foles.

We would then have a potential franchise QB and 7 picks within the top 100 draft choices which we could spend entirely on defense.

More likely is we would draft the best pass rusher available or try and move down.

We could also pull the trigger and draft Cooper from Alabama if he's there. Nate is gone after this year, I don't see us hanging on to Hagan, so the only two left would be Hunter and Wright. We need to add depth there and Cooper is the best college WR I've seen since AJ Green.

The keyword here is "alleged." I'm not making light of the situation, but it's too easy these days to accuse someone who is in the spotlight of something hoping for a payout to keep quiet. I'm not saying he did it or didn't, but the same thing has happened before. Look at Roethlisberger. He was accused of the same thing. He got through it and now and he's playing great. Who wouldn't take him as our QB now?

Saying he "should have had 5 picks" is like saying "Derrick Morgan should have "10 sacks, but the QB got rid of the ball just as he got there." Almost doesn't count. They don't keep track of things that "almost happened." Even if that's luck as you suggest, couldn't this team use a little luck?

I just know we need a QB and Winston is dripping with talent and is worth the risk IMO. If nothing else people will at least be talking about the Titans since they have a star player. Something we've lacked for years.

I hate to say it, but Im slowly coming around to the idea of drafting Jameis.

I mean yes he's a complete fool, but so were Vince Young, Samari Roole, Brad Hopkins, Frank Wycheck, and many other Titans, but they all made us better.
