Which QB do we draft?

We should draft Zach Mettenberger

Oh wait, already did.

 

Watched another game of his. No hitch in his throwing mechancis in that game and when he has time he's good. I just don't think he has the arm talent to be a high pick. He made 2 40yd throws (in the air so 30+ from the los) and he has to arc them. I'll watch him some more but I think he's a mid-round pick at best right now.

 

I think we're good. Obviously, Mett has a couple more tests to complete, but we could be sitting pretty with this years draft and go D.

Care to say why you believe he sucks? I would love to hear your evaluation, or do you base opinions off of stats?

 

Hes definitely a second or third day pick. He does have nice footwork and moves well in the pocket due to his lack of mobility.

 

Has steadily regressed this year and looks horrible under pressure. I don't like seniors who take a step backwards developmentally. He lost Cooks and now looks like a lost puppy. Check his games vs actual talent like USC and Stanford and he looks horrible.

I will say this though, he played one of his better games last week vs. ASU but I would never "preach the kid all year"

 

Yes I been preaching him all year, because he is a realistic expectation. You really think whiz would draft maRoita, Winston or hundley? Cook is already looking like he's going back for another year. So which quarterbacks are left that you would take?

I think zach gets another shot next year, and we draft a late round guy to come in and compete. Mannion is a lot like Mett he needs the pieces around him to be good, he doesn't have the ability to make something happen with his feet.
