Um. As long as every other coach that needs to find his players? It is extremely rare to find a coach who can fit any personal into their scheme/make up a successful scheme around every type of personal they have.

Whiz went to the superbowl with players under his scheme. He brought the Chargers to the playoffs with players under his scheme and won a game. Guys, it's not like he isn't capable of being successful.

"How long must we wait." LOL. You guys crack me up. Go play Madden if you want to see a team go to the Superbowl in the first or second year of a new coach.

I just do not understand a coach that is up 24 to 13, ran the ball well in the first half, refusing to run the ball with a lead and then laying it all on a rookie qb. Then at the end letting them just line up and run right down your throat without making adjustments. Clear to me this staff does not feel like it needs to win now, I think the fans do not have to spend the money going to watch the games. It is going to be no show city the rest of the year.

Defense effort and adjustment is on Horton. Yeah Whiz can tell him to call it differently, but he is the one making the calls on D not Whiz.

Whisenhunt play calling has been less than spectacular. Maybe it's time for him to stop being a HC and OC and hand the duties over to someone else.

Disagree for the most part. What 'type' of personel are you talking about? OLB's who can rush the passer? Needed already. A solid QB? Needed already. A better OL? Needed already. NONE of these things have to do with his 'type' of player, just holes we have and have had.

It's quite arguable we have mostly his 'type' of player. We have his type of QB (Mett), RB (Sankey/McCluster), WR (Hunter, Wright, Wash), TE (Walker, Thompson), DL, ILB, CB, S, KR, PR. At what position do we not have his 'type' of player? OLB is about the only position and we aren't 2 and whatever because of our OLB's. Several positions that were upgraded are playing worse...WR being a prime example.

I agree we haven't figured out the QB position and our OL is not playing that well despite the talent on it. Which makes you question the head coach, position coaches and coordinators and the GM.

Additionally, he got Webster to spend what...$6mil/yr on McCluster and he can't get him more involved in the game plan? None of us can understand why he doesn't try to use him like he used Woodhead with SD last year. We give him a couple of plays and then he's on the bench for a quarter or a half.

It's hard to take you seriously when you say he LITERALLY has nothing besides TE. KW was very good last year and McCluster is a great role player when used correctly. Didn't Nate Wash have 1,000yd season last year? Isn't Hunter a high 2nd rnd draft pick? Isn't Sankey a 2nd rnd draft pick? How does he have nothing to work with?
    Agreed!

You might want to actually look at the teams Parcells built up before you say things like that because it's not true. How many teams did Parcells take over that were 7-9 the year before and went 3-13 his first year? ZERO.

We added talent to this roster except for our 2nd starting CB spot but the offense has seriously regressed (at all positions except TE and RB), the defense has been up and down, and our special teams have been worse. This includes upgrades to this team at QB, RB, OL, OLB, ILB, QB depth, CB depth, S depth, LB depth and arguably kicker. So how are we 4-5 games worse? And arguably less competitive overall.

Problem wasn't that. In the 3rd quarter we had 2 runs (first and 2nd down) and an incomplete pass = punt.

Next drive we passed more and ran but led to a passing TD (3 runs and 8 passes...I'm guessing you weren't complaining).

Notice on the drive in which we ran on first and 2nd down, we were still in a passing 3rd down and distance. While we ran well, Pitt adjusted to stop our outside runs where we were having success and we were having a major problem blocking their NT. They adjusted yet we TRIED to run anyway...

Next drive, we ran on first down again (is this what you call a refuseable to run the ball?) for -3 yards. We passed on 2nd and 3rd down and missed an easy throw for the first down.

Next drive we passed for a first down on the first play...are you complaining? We go back to the run on the next first down and get stuffed for barely a yard. So your last 2 runs have netted you -2 yards and it is 2nd and 9...our last pass got us a first down. You want to run again or pass? And you have to understand, in Whiz's system, wr screens and bubble screens are similar to run plays. Since Pitt adjusted to stop us from running outside, a wr screen to KW was a smart call but poorly executed (poor throw, poor blocking) so incomplete. Now instead of 3rd and manageable, we have 3rd and 9. You want to run or pass? Again, we had a good playcall but Mett was a little slow reading who to go to and then threw the ball behind Hagan so he couldn't run for the first. I don't think you're gonna tell me we would have gotten it running it, are you?

So which drive do you have issue with? The only one in which we purposely passed more we scored! On the other we TRIED to run it but were unsuccessful which forced us to pass...and even some of those passes for this offense are like running plays. We didn't execute well on 7 of our last 8 plays and never got the ball back.

More than one year. Ask any franchise, ever.

No offense, but this is a simplistic view of what a coach teaches players. Everyone already knows how to run, catch, ect. This is the NFL, not college or high school. Its a whole new game.

Im always up for bashing Webster.

I'm not one to go back and watch the games again but I'm seriously considering doing it. If my memory serves me correct, this entire season has consisted of the same ****** oline performances we've seen for years. I really thought it was going to be great and we were going to return to being a great rushing team. Wow, was I wrong. Earmark sucks, Levitre sucks, and Schwenke sucks! We all know this. Right?

Isn't the game still won in the trenches? Breaking news guys, the defensive line and outside linebackers suck too! Except for Casey, we are extremely desperate for defensive playmakers in our front seven. I still can't believe we have not addressed this problem at all in recent drafts. I can't wrap my head around it. Instead we move up for Hunter! Are they playing a joke on us?

If you idiots think whiz is to blame, you need help. He might not be the answer but our problems run way deeper.

Met might turn out to be great. He sure has no fear and looks way smarter this early than any Young Titan QB I've ever seen. Let's make some trades next draft, load up on picks, and improve our chances of drafting some defensive playmakers.

Long time Oilers/Titans fan, long time follower of this sight but not many posts. I hope you smart guys on here agree with my opinions because I know I'm right!

I'm worried about a fan base that is more concerned about draft position than winning games. Too many here only see black or white and nothing in between. 8-8 is not something to be ashmaed of. We were an 8-8 team when they came to Nashville and i became a fan.

Now so many see either a high draft pick or a super bowl contender and little in between and that is why people are so forgiving of Whiz.
