If we get a chance at a dominate Defensive player or a QB with personality questions/QB with NFL transfer questions then I say we take the Defensive player.

Mett is a good enough game manager.

I think he's the answer. Go Cooper or Best Defensive player at 3/4 overall, and OG/OLB at 36 depending on what we did in the first round.

Ok he is immobile. But there are successful immobile QBs ie. brady and manning.

Compare Mettenberger's game today to Carr's game thursday night against the Chiefs.

Carr was 18 of 35 for 147 yards.

Mett's 35th attempt came on the Mcluster TD. At that point he was 19-35 for 324 yards.

More than a 2-1 difference in yards produced from the same attempts. Carr's stats which are consistent with his whole season are a major red flag. Mett's stats are a major positive. One guy isn't even averaging 10 yards per completion while the other guy gets 17 yards. It's not something that can be taught.

One guy is a play maker and the other is not.

Those guys move inside the pocket. Mett stands there.

That bootleg in the first quarter against Philly was brutal to watch. The defender is running right at him. Mett sees him coming. Mett stands there and gets hit. No attempt to move at all. Lucky there wasn't an intentional grounding call, as Wright was 15 yards away.

This is just false, watch either of these guys play and they are never standing still, their feet are constantly moving and they slide all over the pocket.
