Dude, who the F- is talking about KC or kickoffs? I'm talking about his inability to move in the pocket and how that hurts this team with a poor OL. This team has solid players, you can blame the Defense all you want but the fact that the offense ran 19 plays in their first 6 drives, 4 3 and outs to start the day against a team that tempos other teams to death! But yeah, let's talk about the kickoff.....:/

I think Mett is our starting QB next year, if only because I don't think anyone else available will be capable of doing any better.

He's looked decent. Better than any QB we've had since McNair at least.

Plus it would be easier to learn how to move around in the pocket if he actually had a pocket to move around in. Most of the time the pockets is collapsing all around him. He's lucky to get 2 seconds before a defender is all over him.

I saw Romo have numerous plays tonight where his line gave him forever back in the pocket untouched, as much as 7.5 seconds. What do you guys think Mett could do with a couple weapons and 5-7 seconds to make his throws?

Easy there sport I'm Team Mett.
which btw I saw today that in my weird ffl he scored more that the winning Philip Rivers. Sleeper pick of the year!

    Rolltide's evaluation method still sucks.

I'd like to say he is our guy. I like what I have seen from him so far but I feel like the team would have to do a lot to compensate for him.

Replace the entire interior line (again), get a true weapon at WR and possibly another RB.

He doesn't seem like a QB who is going to by time by moving around or outside the pocket. He himself isn't going to make a play on his own, he needs the rest of the offense around him to their jobs and do it well. The blocking has to be perfect and the receivers actually have to get open on a consistent basis.

If you have defenders coming in unblocked, like on at least three occasions today it does not matter how mobile you are. I think Levitre flat out refused to block today.

No way locker could have stayed healthy today.

He played well today, but I still need to see him get quicker with his reads and show a bit of mobility. I do not want him running like Locker, but seeing him shift the pocket instead of getting sucked into a closing pocket would be really nice. I wonder if his knee is still an issue with this?

At any rate, as someone else said earlier, if there was a sure fire prospect in the draft at QB I would say take him. There is not IMO. Mett has shown me enough to get a shot next season above what I have seen in this draft class.

I'm comfortable and confident with Mett as our QB for the foreseeable future. Now we can address one less glaring hole.

    Is he great? No.

He is, to me, one of the only QBs I haven't worried too much about in YEARS.
