If you think about it, the same argument can be made to show he's in a MORE advanatgeous position. Bama has a huge line and awesome rushing attack so it's not like you can play 7 guys in coverage and double Cooper. I like Cooper and he's been there go to guy, but his combine will mean a lot to how far his upside is and how he plays down the stretch against better defenses (cb's).

I'm not sold on Shane Ray yet. And frankly, he does have Golden on the other side. Plus, Ealy and Sam were excellent last year. Ealy went in the 2nd and Sam I think in the 4th.

Ealy has 1 sack and isn't doing much and Sam isn't playing in the NFL. That should make you nervous!

I think Oakman will jump into this conversation if he keeps playing well and finishes with 10+ sacks. you know he will be freakish in the combine and 'shoot' up draft boards based on potential.

Ealy didn't have a motor and isn't a true pass rusher. Sam doesn't have the athletic ability. Ray and Golden are both better.

I do like Oakman, though I'm concerned about how lean he is...

Oakman will jump just like Dion Jordan did a few years ago. It's hard for teams to pass on freak athletes like them, but they are big team boom or bust players.

I watched a couple of games from Oakman last year. Dude loafs like a disinterested pokemon.

I think he plays really hard, but sometimes doesn't seem to know what to do.

I agree, he looks a little lost at times...which is why I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt in saying he's raw. Of course, it's also possible he just doesn't do well trying to locate the ball.

I have another game to watch of Leonard Williams, but to an extent he and Oakman are similar in the sense that i can watch a few series and forget they are there and then BOOM, they make a crazy play!

Honestly, I need to watch more tape on both of them, but because of the plays I've seen Williams be able to make, Im concerned he isn't MORE dominating in games. I know he's been playing hurt...so...more film study needed.

I agree in that Oakman will jump up...especially after his schools workout and the combine.

And Dion Jordan is what scares me about Gregory. Jordan has like 2 sacks in a year and a half.

Shane Ray would be my guy at pass rusher; Or Lorenzo Mauldin in the 2nd.

Oakman is definitely raw. He redshirted at Penn State, was kicked off, and lost a year of eligibility when he had to transfer. This is his 2nd year of college football and his first year starting.
