If you really want to know...

It is a hybrid, raptor, TRex that is apparently venomous and can change colors like a chameleon. Meaning it is like the carnotaurus from the Lost World novel. If you watch the trailer they are inside of it's pin saying it climbed out. It cuts to another scene where Starlord is running from the dinosaur inside the same holding area. Likely means it didn't climb out and was inside the cage the entire time but blended in with the environment. When they open the gates it dips out chasing Starlord.

If true... movie in full retard effect. It seems to me, with a place like that, they would have better failsafes for checking a dinosaur's "position" other than looking - "I don't see him, must be gone... better physically walk in to check...". Kinda cliché

    ok.....

I was excited about this, but the Sharknado style CGI and 'riding a motorcycle through a pack of raptors' is about the dumbest thing I've seen.

sounds about like "shia lebeouf swinging through the jungle with CGI monkeys" in the latest Indiana Jones adventure.

    Didn't see that one either

Most of these movies are just catering to people who have wanted something for years and will pay for it no matter how dumb it looks.

Do not watch the Indiana Jones movie if you have a choice. you are blessed for having missed it. That particular scene was one of the most memorably horrible scenes I have witnessed.

Hollywood can hardly produce anything anymore, without it being propped up by something they did in previous decades. That's part of what made GoTG so good. They started from scratch, and made a great movie out of it. Nobody was a GoTG fan before it.
I expect a huge dropoff in the inevitable 2nd and 3rd movies.. because they do what they always do.. start resting on their laurels.

Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull is the prime example of Hollywood resting on their laurels.
