I'll be SHOCKED if Shelton falls out of round 1 as I think he's the best DT in the draft right now. I know everyone loves Leonard Williams but I haven't seen enough of him yet. Shelton is definitely the best NT and unlike most NT's, he can actually rush the passer and gets sideline to sideline. I saw in one game he engaged the OC on a pitch play and he beat the ILB to the ball carrier and crushed him. He won't have the upside of Leonard Williams or an Oakman, but he can play right now and I'm guessing he's more likely 340-350!

I could definitely see him as our first round pick in a trade down scenario and I'd be fine with that as he could be our Vince Wilfork!

Don't take this question as anything but informational. Where have you seen this? A cursory look at the most popular sites and Dupree has a highest rating of 26th (CBS Sports) but most seem to project him 2-3rd rounds.

Short of some phenominal workouts/senior bowl type stuff, I don't see him jumping into a top 10 pick. Then again, anything can happen. But he'd have to do some magical stuff to move up that far IMHO.

Matt Miller has him 15 and Sporting News has him as the top senior college football player. Seems to me then that he is all over the board right now. I guess not a lot of press at UK. He is going to the senior bowl, that should narrow down his projection

    Gentlemen, meet:
    Shane Ray DE/OLB Missouri

The 6'3", 245 pound defensive end has complied 59 tackles (44 solo), 20.5 tackles for loss, five quarterback hurries, one PBU, two forced fumbles and a blocked kick. In addition, his 14 sacks currently ranks second nationally and first in the SEC. His current sack total also shattered Mizzou's previous single-season sack record of 11.5 (held jointly by Sam and Aldon Smith)...and the Tigers have at least one game remaining.

Aside from his football prowess, Ray is a weight-room freak with measurables that have NFL scouts drooling. The son of former NFL defender Wendell Ray, the younger Ray benches 415 pounds, squats 625 pounds and can bench 225 pounds 28 times. Add that kind of power to Ray's ability to run a 4.4 40 yard dash, and it's easy to see why NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. has said Ray could be a potential number one pick following an outstanding 2014 campaign.

Last year, I introduced Khalil Mack as I the player I would have traded up to select. This year we will probably be selecting in the top five and I would trade in all my chips to select this young man (Shane Ray).

I would still put JC up against him in the weight room.

I was trying to watch this guy against Bama tonight but he got his dumb ass ejected for targeting really early on. He was able to get a sack before getting tossed but was getting pushed around badly against the run.

Wasn't he flagged or ejected for targeting in a game a few weeks ago?

Yeah his strength is rushing the passer. He's undersized as a 4-3 DE. He is a much better fit as a 3-4OLB

I think so. Herbstreit was saying something like that.
