If you can't honestly say yes he would be, than perhaps you are expecting too much.

So many fans wanted to see the team tank, and guess what, they are. What did you expect it to feel like as a fan.

 

Doesnt matter at this point, he might be done for the season. Why he was in the game, playing hurt, down 29 in the 4th is beyond imagination.

If you think he is the future, take him out and let him heal. There was nothing to be gained from keeping him in. That's on coaching.

 

No, he really hasn't. He's thrown for a bunch of yards in a couple of losses. He's been the Zach Mettenberger we saw at LSU. Inaccurate, turnover-prone and unathletic.

I get it. He fits the prototype and came from a big time program. That gives people hope. The problem is he never did anything extraordinary with a horde of talent around him in college. He never put it all together.

At this point I'm almost ready to call him injury prone too. Two torn ACLs and now this shoulder injury. Not good for a guy who is going to take a lot of hits because he doesn't move. If that was Jake Locker people would be calling him Mr. Glass.

 

Because Mett represented hope. He was the new toy. THE SPARK.

Tried to tell you guys to temper the expectations...

 

The turnovers have been his biggest problem. Hasnt played one game turnover free...

 

So are you going to rebuild the entire team and then see if Mett can play?

That makes no sense. Especially in the eyes of a newly hired coach who has two more years at most to extinguish this dumpster fire before he gets run.

Do you really believe that Whiz, a coach that has NEVER stuck with a QB outside of HoF Kurt Warner, is going to puts his last chance at being a HC in this league in the hands of Zach Mettenberger?


Whiz fully intended to let Jake play and walk this year and draft his guy in 2015 and I won't be surprised if that is exactly what happens.

 

Maybe that tells us everything we need to know?

I used to say the same thing about Vince Young when Jeff Fisher had him running the triple option sporadically. You don't do that with a franchise QB.

 

Want to know why he is hope for me. I am tired of the QB train. I am tired of switching QB's every damn year. Or reaching for one with an early draft pick just to see the team ride them through all their ****.

If he can be... hell, even Dilfer, we can conentrate on other areas because our team as a whole is crap and needs a complete overhaul.

 

Im saying this team needs rebuilt and until it happens, it doenst matter who our QB is. I know he has strengths, as well as weaknesses.

So supporting cast doesnt matter?

Yes, I do. He has no other choice unless you believe in one of the top 2 QB's this season.

We will see. Locker being played was on RW. Any coach who came here, knew they were giving Locker this year to see if he was the guy.

We dont know if Mett will or can be good, but I dont feel like any QB would have been good playing on this team this year.
