Is Mettenberger "our guy?"

It was clear that Whiz wanted nothing to do with Locker after the Browns game. He went right back to old habits with the QB carousel. Whiz is a terrible coach, and this franchise gave this moron 5 years...

Whiz doesn't have the luxery of rebuilding this **** team and then evaluating Mettenberger.

He will need to draft his guy now and roll with it.

HC on their last chance don't lean on a 6th round pick that has not even been close to exceptional.


Wait until March and April roll around and QBs start emerging in this class and getting attention. This FO will feel tempted if even just to reignite the fanbase which is currently on life support.

This is a business. Stars sell tickets.

This is an offense driven league. The rules force it that way. You have to have an above average QB to have a chance. You have to score points. Mett isn't doing that.

You can have the best defensive player in the league, Watt, and still be a **** team with nobody worth a **** behind center.


Find a QB, if they believe it is Mett fine come out and say it. Own it.

Don't leave this franchise in QB limbo while you make up your mind.


We are going to be in a position to have our pick of the class this year. If one of these QBs separates himself and starts to shine they better pull the trigger.

Take a look at Cleveland. Or are you saying that Hoyer is a great QB? No, of course you arent. It doesnt hurt, though, to have the pieces there for when the QB is in the game.

First off, Mariota. I want no part of him. he has not had to read a defense his entire life. Why people are on his bandwagon, is beyond me. YEs, he can win game, so could VY. yes he can pass the ball in college, with a simple, dumbed down offense that made people like Joey Harrington look like future stars.

As for Fry's guy, hes just an idiot. If he can come in here and win and make us a real team, then fine, go do it. However if we just grab any QB, without building this line and getting some WR's for him to throw to, he will be no better than Locker, CBJ, or Mett.

Sad that some fans don't recognize we are again at ground zero on the re-build. We HAVE to get some OL here with the plan being fruition 2 years from now. We have to stick with Mettenberger because we're going to have to re-address our OL and WR on offense, and OLB, CB, SS/FS, NT on defense.

Webster has SUCKED SO BAD. The only reason I figure he keeps his job is because Tommy Blowfish is frighteningly devoid of football knowledge.

 

Actually whiz does have that luxury. Hell get three yrs minimum. Mett can play, he can get the ball where it needs to be. He needs people around him. Combine that with the fact there's no real upgrades at the qb position in draft= go w mett build your team like seattle

 

Mett's numbers matchup or are better than Manning, Brady, Luck, Rodgers, and Brees numbers through their first 5 starts. And with arguably a lot less talent than those guys had their first years. Manning would be the only exception, maybe.

Just saying.

 

Mett is easily better than any doofus QB coming out next year. I don't want black Lennie Small and I don't want "I can play in this specific offense against **** teams" Mariota.

Build around Mett next year and if he isn't the guy then draft a QB in '16.

Dude they pulled a gem out of the 3rd round and he has turned into the guy.

Also look at their staff and FO and them look at ours.

Have zero faith they can turn this around. This franchise is a joke and I'm not sure if you realize this, it always has been.
