What did we expect? Multiple injuries at OL and WR on an already crappy team

 

Slow down. We didn't get a new owner or a new GM. We got Webster promoted who was already VP of player personnel and was mentored by Reinfeldt. No break in that chain.

Bud died. Tommy took over. No new ideas in that line either.

Truth is that this franchise's owner's and management have never had close ties with the league leaders in ownership, management etc. Bud had a personal, albeit antiquated, interest in the team. And as his health declined so did his skills as an owner.

The reason we are so bad is multi-factorial. We have absentee ownership. We don't have an authority on site. We don't have upper management with championship experience- at least not direct and recent. Our present owner is content to blow rhetoric at the press and believes that is sufficient to placate the upset hardcore fans.

I don't see how this thing gets turned around without a new owner. Or at least hiring a president who lives in Nashville and get a GM with some damn experience. Ours is pathetic.

 

We expected a whole lot more, this team doesn't care. I can understand if its the 4th year with the same coach who's being ignored, but this is a 1st year coach whose voice has already gone numb.

This is what this franchise has needed for a long time. 75% roster overturn. A new QB to (hopefully) right this franchise.

I'd feel a hell of a lot better about it had we not brought in Whiz and gotten rid of Webester, but there's nothing that can be done about that now.

 

So we did get a new owner

I dont disagree with the rest. We are stuck with RW though, hes not going anywhere. Tommy has shown he will open the pocket book, he just has to get the right people in here. We really just need to hope that RW has better drafts and FA acquisitions. I am not on the Tommy hate train and I am willing to give him more time to do what it takes to make this franchise successful. I believe he has one and said the right things so far. He just needs to surround himself with more football minds.

I am not a fan of RW, and havent been for a while. Unfortunately, we are stuck with him. Our scouting department needs an overhaul too.

I sadly agree TJ. I don't see us being competitive again until 2017. And I have zero faith that Webster is the guy that can lead the re-build.

This season is the shot in the arm the team needs, Honestly, I'm starting to think we should draft mariota. just out of desperation.
