What is your strategy to rebuilding our roster?!?

So here is the deal, we all have been talking, for I don't know how many, weeks about the lack of talent on our team. Whether you want to admit it or not, we simply cannot compete given the current roster. Some of us wanted this team to tank to break the cycle of mediocrity and hopefully be in position to draft some difference making talent this upcoming year (Personally I am in that boat).

So instead of reading many many depressing post that really recycles the same perspective I decided to start a new thread. If you were the GM or VP of Player Personnel of our team what would your strategy be to rebuild this team while meeting fan expectations and obligations?

Some things to consider:

* We need to rebuild our entire roster from top to bottom
* We need to establish a team identity
* We have a ton of money to make a splash in FA, but big FA teams historically aren't overly competitive.
* Luring big name FAs to a rebuilding team will be challenging (may have to overpay)
* We only have 6 draft picks in 2015 (not sure???) which is not enough to rebuild an entire roster
* We will definitely pick within top 5
* There are no can't miss QBs eligible for the 2015 NFL draft

So putting on your FO hats, what honestly would be your plan? I'm interested in hearing everyone thoughts because I really have no clue how we would even consider rebuilding this team given these circumstances.

The best thing we can do is trade back in the first round and pick up as many extra picks as possible. We then have to figure out how to flip some of the extra picks into higher round picks in subsequent years. Obviously this is easier said than done, but all things considered we have too many hole on our roster to fill!

 

Not really, but it is still interesting. We get mangled every week. I want us to lose all our games but remain competitive. I guess that's too much to ask lol
