It doesn't matter if it's sports or politics; for some reason people can't get beyond a choice between the current guy who sucks or the last guy who sucked. Always those two options and those two options only.

    Humans piss me off.

I can get beyond it. Find a coach who can coach and is willing to come here. If that can be accomplished, which could be a problem. We likely got Whiz because no one else would take it.

Contracts can always be modified, and if it makes business sense to make a move it will happen IMO.

Ive been hesitant to get on Whiz simply because I want him to work out, I want stability back in the franchise. However, at some point saying "Well it's his first year" becomes a ridiculous excuse.

I could walk into wall street with some hair gel and a kick ass speech, and convince someone to give me a job as a stock broker, take a shot on me (maybe not, but go with it). If I don't deliver, meaning, if I don't sell stocks, or even if I try really hard, but they see that I have no idea what I am doing, Im done, "sorry pal, we took a shot, but this isn't for you." Now, say I made a huge sale a few weeks in, obviously that'd buy some time, but I digress, if I then go back to not doing much, its out the door. Someone else might give me a second chance, but If I'm running around not selling much, its the door much quicker.

Whiz has shown NOTHING. NOTHING to warrant him being a head coach. Yes, he went to the Super Bowl with Arizona, then got canned. He came here as his second shot, you would think he would make an effort to show SOMETHING, instead we have a team emotionally DEAD. No EFFORT. Players don't want to play for him, if they did, we would be hearing about it. THIS FRANCHISE IS DEAD, we don't have time watch this abomination of a team learn some Whisenhunt philosophy. He didn't make it as a coach in his first job, and now at 2-11, he is showing no signs that the Titans made the right choice to hire him. First year or not.

Plenty of coaches take bumps and bruises in their first year. Its not just about the 2-11 record. Its about the team, how they play and if they show signs of life. If they show in week 13 they are doing things better than in week 3. Take the Jags, do we see them in the same light as the Titans? They come back to beat the Giants. They play hard. Those boys want to win. Their play, their attitude proves that. They have what 2-3 wins like us? But its totally different. That point alone shows me this coach is not the right guy for this job. He's already in this like comfortable position as if he's been here a while and having "an off year" or something. This guy should be doing the opposite of what he is doing.

Im afraid now, we are going to be stuck with this guy for 2 more seasons, when I just don't see this guy all of a sudden becoming a coach that will get more out of his players. We aint drafting Peyton Manning next year, for us to win the coach is going to have to coach up players and get average guys to produce like above average guys. Whiz aint doing that.

Fire the guy, he is garbage. I been with this team since 98, Im absolutely sick of everything about this team. We haven't been to the playoffs in 6 years, I don't give a crap about it being the first year or not, either get the team playing proper;y or you are out. Whiz should be out.

I hear ya. At this point I only find fault with Tommy Smith and Webster. I think the two of them are not capable of directing the re-build. Whiz gets a pass only because he just stepped into this mess.

This team sucks. How can you let your future (possibly) get the stuffings smacked right out of him for 3 quarters and down by 30 leave him in. Its almost he wanted Mettenberger to get destroyed. Throw in he was already hurt the week before.

We have officially became the Oakland Raiders/Jags of the NFL. We were close but now thats us. However, we suck so bad, TB will lose out and we still won't have the #1 pick

Whisenhunt has made too many alarming decisions to warrant a pass.

I'm afraid he's too rigid regarding his scheme. He does not seem to adapt to the roster (not that there's too much to adapt to). Look at the what New England is doing with Ayers. He seemed like a turd here but looks like a great player there. They adapt every year and consistently get 10 wins. That's what we have to be.

OK let me be blunt, I supported the Whiz hiring, he guided Arizona to a SB,( one it should have won IMO, no way his foot was down, no way). He was/is/will always be superior to munch. The reason we suck so bad is not coaching, you can only polish a turd so much. The reason we suck is simple, we have very, very few guys that START for us that would even be on the rosters of the NFL's playoff calibur teams.
Here, again IMO, is the rather short list of guys that start for us and could even be on the division leaders at this point in the season.
1-Mettenberger-Don't get excited I said on the roster, his potential alone would have him carrying a clipboard for anyone.
    2. K. Wright-over 90 catches last year for over 1000 yards.
3.J. McCourtey-would be on a roster....probably at nickle or dime and ST.
4.Bernard Pollard-has been in the past and would still if not injured
5.Taylor Lewan-the only bright spot on the line at all.
6.Jurrell Casey-15.5 sacks with this team the last 2 years.
7.Delanie Walker-easily the best target for this team.
That's it, that IMO, is the rather short list of guys that would even be on the rosters of the NFL elite now. There is another even shorter list of "perhaps" with the right team.
Schwenke, Avery Williamson, Warmack (potential only at this point), Hunter (potential only).

*please note, by "on the roster" I mean 2 deep at positions, not the 43rd guy playing ST.

Can only polish a turd so much....what we have here is a lot of turds.
