I didn't want to start a new thread, so after acquiring the face of the franchise (Suh) now on to the draft.

Rd. 1 - Shane Ray (OLB)
    Rd. 2 - P.J. Williams (CB)/ Marcus Peters (CB)
    Rd. 3 - T.J. Cummings (RT)/ Jordan Phillips (NT)/ Hau'oli Kikaha (OLB)
Rd. 4 - Jaquiski Tartt (DB)/ Rashard Greene (WR)
Rd. 5 - Senquez Golson (CB)
Rd. 6 - Mike Orakpo (ILB)
    Rd. 7 - Devonte Fields (OLB/DE)

The theme of my draft, is improving the defense. Ray doesn't have a lot to work with, but once he gets pieces his defenses excel. I think we need to come out of this draft with 4 new starters and improve the depth.

I have spoken about Shane Ray in a previous post. EXPLOSIVE OFF THE EDGE.

P.J. Williams or Marcus Peters (red flag: coach kicked him off of the team because of emotional outburst on the sideline - intense young man) because BWW should never see the field ever again (in life). I have not been impressed by our CB's this year and that includes the twin (he needs competition).

I would have went all defense, but I have been keeping tabs on T.J. Cummings and he is a extremely talented right tackle (a position of need) out of Pitt (scouts project that he may be able to move to LT in the pro's). This is only his second year playing the position, but his upside is undeniable.

Jaquiski Tartt is from Samford. Yep, that is not a typo (Samford). (6'1 218) Excellent range, playmaker and a striker. Excellent form tackler with impact. Invited to the Senior Bowl.

Senquez Golson to me is this years "Honey Badger." Small and feisty, but a great football player. Golson is a nickel back, but I love what he brings to the table.

Orakpo is Brian's younger brother. Colorado State (suspension) to Texas State. Same strength, speed measurables in a smaller frame. Inside linebacker depth and special teamer. (Tore ACL and MCL but should be ready for the combine).

Devonte Fields was one of the nations most feared pass rusher before being kicked out of TCU. He is a luxury pick, if he pans out great, if he continues to be a knucklehead - cut him.

    Thoughts?

Yeah. We still don't have a QB and our O-line will suck again therefore we will go around 5-11 6-10

The thing here is that money matters just as much. Levitre and Griffin will not be cut. They both play hard as well. Leadership in times like this are almost as important. Griffin is a leader on defense and played well yesterday outside of the Decker catch. Levitre had one of his best games as a Titan as well. Wood an Hill are average players that are not leaders or have a lot of dead cap space. They are more attractive to be cut. Smith, Webster, and Whiz will believe in their system, right or wrong, and keep them. And I wish everyone on this board would stop using the term "Big time" when describing someone. How about someone, anyone who gets the job done.

There is no way he lasts to Round 5. He may be gone in round 2. I would LOVE for us to get him in Rd3.

Also I like Kikaha as a later round OLB pass rusher. His knees must be checked out though - 3 ACL tears I believe

Well the rebuilding process is fully underway and its looking good. Productive free agency, and solid draft leaves me optimistic again. lets see how they do in a couple of months

Yeah man 2-14! I mean, it's so historically unlikely that we are 2-14 or worse in a following season that the safest comment to make is, "we are a little better". That way we are 4-12 next year and we got that slight improvement and oh boy does mary-o-ta look good until he had that right knee broken in three. Then we can be 6-12 and geez mary-o-ta sure looks injury prone and well maybe Whis is good though we just need another QB then Mary tries to kill herself or not maybe just Whis planted the story and oh ****...

Okay, well at least that isn't every going to happen again. Because we have big boy professional head coaches and quarterbacks now, even if they suck.

    There is that anyway.
