Please no QB! No Mariota or Winston!
Mettenberger + Cooper/D player > Mariota or Winston.

Just look how some of these WR like Evans or Beckham Jr are almost single handily winning games for their teams. If we can fix our o-line Mett can get the job done. We need the pieces around him to improve. Cooper can be a game changer with Hunter Wright Walker on secondary routes. They can score some points. Almost all of our offensive deficiencies (besides injuries) come from our o-line not being able to block anyone. Our defense has to improve to help our O as well. We need more that just a QB to win. Half the people on here are saying Peyton couldn't take this team to the playoffs. How could Mariota then? Trade down and gain pieces.

I think Dungy is a bit of a tool. He can thank Peyton Manning for the fact that anyone cares about what he says. His words mean very little to me.

I just have a bad feeling about Mariota. Sure Winston is a huge character risk but I feel a lot more confident about his game successfully translating to the NFL.

Of course I've been wrong about QBs before. I won't hate the pick if we end up drafting Mariota. I just won't be jumping up and down over it.

I don't feel overly confident about either QB longterm.

I wish we could have both Mariota and Cooper. Too bad we can't pull some Draft Day magic...

God that movie was more fictional than anything Marvel has put out.

I still enjoyed it as it was pretty much a two hour commercial for the league.

It's easy to come up with doubt/negatives for 99% of the QBs coming out of college. But if you feel you don't already have the guy on the roster you just gotta take the shot.

I was championing Mett as much as anyone. But I just don't see how you go into next year thinking he's definitely the guy. Him getting hurt was terribly unfortunate. I don't really think we have a choice but to draft a QB.

If we end up #1 Mariota is the pick.

Travis is right. Which means he is wrong. Travis is always wrong.

I hear you, trust me... I do. I also did not want a QB until I really started researching Mariota. He's the real deal dude, imagine Kaepernicks body and speed but Russell Wilsons throwing ability and personality. That's what you get with Mariota. We're lacking the "face of franchise" and Mariota could be that for the next 15 years. I'm all in.

Also, Evans and Beckham have like what, 5 wins combined? They sure are single handily winning games for their teams.

I'll agree that the OL is awful right now. But once we remove Levitre and replace him, resign Roos, and get healthy.. we'll be set. Warmack is coming around and Lewan showed great potential. We're a 3rd round guard and a FA away from having a line again.

Cooper could be a game changer, but we have targets that could become elite with a legit QB. Wright and Walker could both be pro-bowl talented players with Mariota.

Besides, Cooper isn't even deserving of a top-5 pick. That's another debate.

You don't pass on the best QB prospect since Andrew Luck for a good (not great) WR and hope a 6th round rookie turns into a star.
