I don't mean to get all Tww2 on you guys, but one of the reasons you guys hated chris Johnson was because of his attitude.

    Yet!

You want to bring in this dude Cutler?!? Wtf

The contract will be prohibitive but if we can work that part out I'm all for bringing Cutler in.

I think most of us would have thought similarly about Phillip Rivers two years ago as we think about Jay Cutler now. “He’s past his prime. He only has a few years left. He has a bad attitude.” Then, for whatever reason, Whisenhunt becomes the QB whisperer and breathed new life into Rivers. He seems to be able to do that with guys who have the talent to play QB in the NFL. I think that’s actually something he’s good at. So as long as we aren’t giving up a high draft pick and taking on Cutler’s huge contract, I say go for it.

Rivers and Cutler are completely different tho. Rivers has a fiery attitude.

    Cutler is emotionless.

Oh for sure, finding a QB is most important. We won't know if there's any in this draft class until a few years down the road. That said, I'd like to see what Mett can do and use that top pick on D. If Mett was on the Texans with Watt, I'm sure that team would be much better. The Texans are a mediocre team cause they have garbage at QB, Mett is better than anything they have IMO.

I'm sure he'll be a pro about it. He was one of the few college players who prepared for game like an NFL QB. I believe he only had 1 class his last year so he spent a lot of time prepping. I'd expect him only to put in more work now that he's made it to the NFL. I'm also curious if he'll be any more mobile next season after more time healing from the ACL surgery.

That's the way I see it too. No team is going to take on that contract and Cutler has no motivation to renegotiate. He'll make them cut him first, and they'll still owe him $15M next year. Then he can go sign a new contract and make more on top of that. He has the leverage with Chicago.

    P.S.

No Cutler, and hell no to Mariota.
