If he's the FACE of your franchise and your QB, you better care! The Niners can win without Ray McDonald and he's NOT the face of their franchise. But do the Pats win without Brady? Would the Pats team take a MAJOR PR hit if Brady got suspended for slapping Gisele around? Absolutely!!!

Nope. But I'm saying in 5 games they have NEEDED players not named Winston or they would have LOST. So without Winston they probably lose a game or 2. But without Cook or some of the D players, they also would have lost a game or 2 WITH Winston! Is that what you think you should get with the 2nd pick in the draft? A QB that needs protecting and has played his worse games against NFL - caliber defenses?

    That's cool...

But we won the national title last year and I was able to go to the game. So as far as I'm concerned we got a ten year window where it's all gravy. Notre Dame didn't win.

Ray McDonald wasn't found guilty of anything and he just got fired! It's not a question of what he has been found guilty of, it's poor and immature decisions (at best). Is that what you want as the face of your franchise? An immature guy who makes poor and embarassing decisions off the field?

His TEAM needs to win a couple more to have another National Championship. But would you agree that in his 5 poor games this year they would not have won if not for their defense, the other team's poor play, and running game getting them back into it? Without those things, Winston playing well in the 2nd half still results in multiple losses.

Plus, despite being a 'winner,' how do you justify or explain all the INT's he's thrown this year while throwing a lot fewer TD's??? Another way to look at it is, how would Brett Hundley fare on a much stronger team like FSU considering on a worse team, he has better stats than Winston almost across the board. Same with Cody Kessler. More to the point, put him on a team with a weak OL, avg D, and a much weaker run game and is HE gonna look like a dominant QB? I'd suggest he won't. So why do we want him?

Point is, it's hard to say they are winning only because of Winston because they simply are NOT! They are winning with him. Sometimes he carries them and sometimes they carry him. Hard to say that's worth a top 5 pick in the draft. Somewhat of a similar argument teams are having about the worth of Jay Cutler. If you have to protect him with a strong defense, strong run game, and a good oline, why do we need to pay him $15+mil/yr...

The F$U fans here haven't responded with any actual facts to backup why they want Winston. Don't expect them to start now, they will just keep saying useless buzzwords that don't actually show or prove anything.

They are alike in that they are both morons.

If Winston gets more than 15 points on the Wonderlic I will be genuinely shocked.

And there is no such thing as a franchise QB who is a moron.

    The Wonderlic is obsolete.

Highest reported QB scores as of 2013. Ryan Fitzpatrick(48), Greg McElroy(43), Blaine Gabbert(40), Alex Smith(40) and Eli Manning(39).

The lowest reported QB scores as of 2013. Jeff George(10), Donovan McNabb(14), David Garrard(14), Steve McNair(15), Jim Kelly(15).

That's why the NFL created a new examination.
