Well, I agree sort of. On one hand I'm standing by my belief that Whiz will never take the Titans to a Super Bowl (let alone win one), so we're just delaying the inevitable; on the other hand there really isn't any sure fire hire to replace Whiz with at the moment (well, OK, if we somehow got Harbaugh and then got Rex Ryan to be his DC and Gus Malzahn to be the OC... that very specific scenario would likely be worth it).

Still, Ruston Webster surviving to screw up another draft is not good. Dude needed to be fired like, last year.

The big question is not whether Webster is here next years since we all know he will be. The real question is, IF some team wanted to trade up to #2, would Webster be smart enough to make a profitable deal?

I've wanted Webster gone since last season.

I just don't think it's a realistic option to fire Whiz due to the fact that he still has four seasons under contract remaining. If we look like this next season, there will be no choice but to fire him. But doing it right now would mean Tommy is going to have to pay him $15mil or so to sit on the couch for the next four years and then pay another coach $15mil or so for a new contract. Not many owners out there would do that, and I don't blame them one bit.

What bothers me is that we hired Whiz to a five year contract in the first place. Three year would've been optimal, and I would probably say fire him right now if that had been the case. But I guess in order to lure him away from Detroit, we had to go big.

Going big and then immediately regretting it is kinda the Ruston Webster special.

Most of the mock drafts have them taking Winston. I pray that this is untrue.....Early mocks last year had them taking Lewan, which turned out to be accurate, but that worked out alright.

I have seen him, but I do worry about him transitioning to the next level, especially with off the field bs. VY, Russell, etc...So yes, I do worry. I will say however, that he has been pretty damn clutch from what I have seen. I am interested to see how he does vs Mariota. What are your thoughts?

This franchise' successful periods in the past always seemed to be around a stifling defense and a fearsome rushing game. With the lack of availability hot sh*t qbs it seems like a natural coarse to stick with that personality.
That said, skipping a back like Hill for Sankey might be an indication they aren't thinking that way.
The task is huge - as they really need to field high quality several layers of depth.
They won't compete with just a group of good starters..

No doubt bro. They need to be able to stop the run and give the offense more chances as well. I am curious to see who they take at #2
