I watched the USC/Nebraska game and was VERY underwhelmed with Gregory but I liked what I saw from Williams. He made several great plays. He would be another Casey type player for us.

I agree that this is a terrible year to have such a high pick. Even picking last year we could have taken Khalil Mack, Mike Evans, or Sammy Watkins. Any of those guys could have come in and made an immediate impact.

You guys are going to hate hearing this as much as I am going to hate to say it. But with the o-line in such bad shape, the best thing to do if we can't trade might be to take the highest rated OT on the board to play RT. I know that's a boring, uninspiring pick. But they're going to have to do something at that position anyway and drafting OT's especially high, have a very low bust rate. They usually work out pretty well. I would HATE going o-line 3 years in a row in the 1st but it might be the best option.

I have seen Gregory play about 3 times now and have not been a fan of any of it. I think he has a spot in the NFL, no close to top 5 though. He seems to me to have the same type of traits that Dion Jordan and Barkevus Mingo had. Crazy athletic fast and flexible. That works in college and people want to think that it will in the pro, it hardly does. You need more than that. I have not been impressed with Ray either. I am hoping that someone shoots up the draft board during Senior Bowl/Combine for us to drop to around 6 and grab. Vic Beasley or Bud Dupree seem that the best options for that to happen. No to Gregory.

Gregory is underwhelming IMO, and I love the Williams/Casey comparison. I think the same. Adding him to a line with Casey would do drastic things to fix this defense.

If we go OL 3 in the top 11 3 years in a row, I'm done LOL.

    Gotta grab Cooper or Williams

I agree. Bridgewater would have probably went where Bortles did if he hadn't of destroyed his stock with a horrific pro day. He has been solid for the Vikes this year. He has had rookie ups and downs, but I bet the Jags wish they would of picked him. LOL.

JPP would be a player I would like to see us make a run at this season. I would rather have J. Houston from KC, but I seriously doubt they let him get away. JPP is looking for big $$$, not sure he will get it from the NYGs.

Gut posted a link to several highlights of pass rushers. The one with Gregory showed him taking way too many plays off. He was especially disinterested in stopping the run. That is not the type of guy we need.

Nate Orchard could be had in later rounds as a pass rusher. He needs to develop some, but has potential. He had 18 sacks this year I think.... Numbers aren't always indicative of great skill, but he can be developed IMO. All that said I wouldn't want him early.

There are any number of 2nd - 4th round types that I wouldn't mind taking and standing up next to Williams.

I'll be honest, I have completely gotten off the Gregory train. Guy seems lazy and undisciplined.

I'm totally off the Gregory train also. I want Cooper or Williams at 2, and rather trade back for Ray/Beasley than take Gregory at 2.

Plenty of late round pass rush talent also - Mauldin, Kikaha Hodges & Delaire are great sleepers.

Jarran Reed and DJ Pettway are returning to Alabama. They'll be on the defensive line and probably would've went in the mid rounds. Not really shocking but both had really good seasons, especially Reed.
