In a perfect world we could hit on picks like GB - but we are more on the Raiders level.

Having the McCourty brothers on the same team would be pretty cool... and, believe it or not, that's the type of thing that's going to actually bring us some hype and attention.

Plus, his brother is better than him anyways.

As most of you, McCourty would make me beyond stoked. Then again, anyone other than Griffin would make me happy. Terrence Knighton DT from Denver would also be a good addition. Big guy who is a solid run stopper than can help our very very poor run D. Also would love to see Jason Worilds, good veteran who could rush the passer. Still up in the air on Brian Hoyer. Don't think I would be mad at it but I think I would rather see what Mettenberger can do and spend that money on a cheaper backup if Whitehurst is gone.

    D. Thomas would be nice, orakpo, mccourty, bulga, iupati, worlids and of course suh. I know suh plays in the 4-3 but with him and casey on the line, it would instantly make our whole d better.

Suh and Casey would make our D 2008 good.

Personally I think we should stay away from Suh. Yeah, I think he'll still contribute in a 3-4, although not as much. I think he is going to cost way too much money and would rather spend that money on improving other positions as well. Corner, safety, linebacker, all need help. No need to dump a ton of money into one DL when we could potentially draft Leonard Williams and already have Jurrell Casey. Just my opinion. Never know with this FO anyway.

    Uhhh no. lol

Assuming Suh fits in as a 3-4 DE, having him would certainly improve our defense a lot. However, he may not be nearly as effective in the 3-4, and I certainly do not want to have to give him a ~$100mil contract.

Suh has never even come close to what Haynesworth was in 2007 or 2008. Watt has been the most dominant DL since Fat Albert... Other than this year, when was the last time we heard something about a DL being considered for MVP?... Haynesworth in 08.

Also, look at the LB corps we had. Bulluck, Tulloch, Thornton... that is far and away better than anything we've had at LB since. Then you factor in Finnegan in his prime and Nick Harper (before he sucked), we're just not even close to being 2008 good on ANY level.

    x2.

If we went out and signed McCourty, Worilds, Cromartie(1 year deal, somewhat lucrative), then drafted Leonard Williams our Defense would be Jurrell Casey, Sammie Hill, Leonard Williams with Brown, Worilds, Williamson, Morgan at linebacker. McCourty, Cromartie, Wreh-Wilson at corner with Pollard and McCourty at Safety.

Now we have to tinker with the OLine. Cut Levitre on June 1st if its true that we will get less of a penalty. Build line around Lewan and Warmack for the future. And stop being so predictable on offense. The defense would now be solid and we need to make sure we keep them off the field as much as possible. I'm tired of the run run pass punt bullsh*t.

I think you let Nate Washington walk and try to fill his void with a true deep threat like Torrey Smith, D. Thomas or a true playmaker like Randall Cobb. You are going to have to over pay for them, but I'm looking for a guy that teams have to really pay attention to opposite of Hunter and Wright and a guy who Mettenberger will be able to play with for years to come. Although the draft is loaded with WRs, I don't want one early. If you can't get a stud then look at Eddie Royal who played under Whiz at the Chargers. He had his best year scoring 8 TDs.

The only thing that worries me about "Pot Roast" is his apparent bad attitude. I don't know if that will sit well with our coaches. I think Worilds is the OLB we target in FA. If we bring in Hoyer it will be to back-up Mett and provide a "competition" for him. Wouldn't be a bad idea.
