I am confident saying 2015 wont be a repeat. I expect to see a lot of improvement next season.

I dont have a lot to base this off of, but its just at the way the first 1/4 of the season was called. Our WR's were running free all over the place. We just didnt have a QB to get the ball to them.

That doenst excuse how the rest of the season went. I just feel like Whiz called some games that looked good, then figured out that we suck and we need a lot more talent. I would not call it tanking, by any means. I just feel that Whiz kept handcuffs on throughout the second half of the season. The play calling didnt get the WR's open as they were in the first 1/4 of the season. Could be defensive adjustments, could be Whiz's play calling, could be the WR's. (no in fact, I know a lot of blame falls on the WR's. Wright was mr fall down, Washington became even more inconsistent, and Hunter is.... well... Hunter)

Its all speculation, however I really feel this team is going to be a different team next season. We could really end up with a ton of talent on this team next season. Having an impact player, like Gregory, could transform an 8-8 team until a super bowl team. (See Kearse)

If we fix our pass rush, along with our run defense. We get some plugs for our offensive line and get a real WR, it has the potential to be good.

This team was much more competitive with Munch at the helm. I just dont believe we saw the best of Whiz. Last season was not his team. He, or RW, failed with some of their free agents and I do wonder how some people dropped off so badly after we signed them. That is on Horton though.

If I had the time, I would go back and post some analysis of the plays and how different they were, compared to the end of the season. Thats also why I feel that losing both TE's drastically changed what we were trying to do. Honestly, this team sucked so bad last season, that reviewing film got old. We are hurting at every position.

We really dont know for sure. Im just keeping my glass half full, instead of half empty.

I try to be as objective as I can and see all views. Next season, Ill begin my criticism of Whiz if i feel its warranted. For now, I just believe he inherited a large turd.

Even with those percentages, that 85 percent was a lousy 85 percent.

No doubt that Whiz failed at some challenges, but that seems to be pretty common to be honest. Watching other teams, I saw a lot of stupid challenges. Saints are the first to come to mind with boneheaded challenges.

I believe his scheme was altered. Ill be the first to admit that maybe Whiz isnt good enough to "adjust to the players we have" instead of trying to stick with his idea. I also realize thats who we got, when we picked him up though.

I really dont believe any coach out there, could have gotten anything out of our offense with the way it played out this season.

Or you could say just about any coach could have produced the same results.

I believe any average coach could have done better than 2-14.

A lot of the problems you point out are on Whiz. His failure to use the weapons he has in a way that best suits the talent. I am not saying fire Whiz. I get that he has a system in place that he wants to stick to. However, not molding that system to the strengths of the roster you have is a problem. Several players have said that they are having a hard time learning the system and do not really know where they stand as far as how much they have improved. It is on the HC to make sure his players KNOW if they need to improve and where they need to improve. Wright was one of our best WRs last year. This year he is one of the players that do not know if he has improved in the system or not. That is bad. One of the best players on our team does not know if he is doing it the coaches way. I know the HC has his hands full, but if his assistants are not doing their part it is on him to fix it. I know that injuries eventually caught up, but that is not the reason for this season. I feel Whisenhunt's ego got in the way a lot. He was too stuck on making his system work to transition into it more smoothly. And hey that's his call, but don't say we are this bad due to injuries.

I dont disagree with stating it that way either. Tomato, tomatoe.

THe only real knock on Whiz so far, is that he wont change his system. He also changed his system this season, it just didnt do any good. Locker continued to suck, then went down. Just like with Munch, he needs more talent to be successful. This just feels like the end of last season all over again.

Fisher went 13-3 several times. He went 8-8 way too many damn times. He also had 4 and 5 win seasons. The same coaching, different coordinators, and different players (talent) on the team.

What matters to me isnt if Whiz can turn a pile of **** into air freshener, but if he can get the guys to fit what he wants to do and be successful. Next season, we will know a lot more about what he is and was looking for.

If we come back and most of this team is intact, then Ill make the first "Fire Whiz" thread of the season in 2015. I feel that we are going to have so many new names, that this team will almost seem foreign to us.

That could be bad, or good.

THis feels like last season all over again.

I dont disagree with much that you say, other than failure to use his weapons (because he had none), and Wright. The guy was slipping coming in and out of his routes on a regular basis. He was also getting blanketed by no name people off the street (Baltimore).

Could be the system. Could be him. Honestly this team is too lethargic to go back and review any more film on them. It got to the point to where I would want to explain why something wasnt working. I would review a play, and see so many things wrong. Bad routes, back blocking, bad throws. (I feel Mett actually could turn into something, but he threw Locker type passes this season as well)

I wouldn't say that. The guy is now 47-65 as a Head Coach in 8 seasons. Only had real success for 2 seasons with Warner at QB. Finished with 3 bad seasons in Arizona and now the worst season in Titans history to start his 2nd head coaching stint.

I want to like the guy, but that's not a lot of success. Next season will be very telling. I wish I could be more optimistic.

Has anyone really defined what his system is? What I saw a lot of was forcing the ball downfield on deeper routes even when the defense was pounding the QB and no one was getting open. If Whiz is trying to win the game, there's few other options when down by 14+ with the lack of playmakers on this team.

I can see a dramatic difference in having to go from a 4-3 to a hybrid 3-4. A lot of players had to learn new positions. But what is the big challenge offensively except for learning the playbook and new terminology?

What I think we saw more were players regressing in certain areas in the fundamentals (ex. Hunter drops. Wright falls down. OL whiff). Mix in rotating QBs who are only average, at best, the injury issue and you have an offense that can't match up against most NFL defenses–especially once 3/4 of the playbook is tossed out due to backup personnel on the field or being down by 14+.

I won't put the 81.0 passer rating the Titans averaged this season all on the QB but that is one ugly stat.

    It's not complicated. Really.

Team performance and coach performance are not mutually exclusive of each other; but if you're going to insist that they are then you need to start paying attention to who the man is and take note of his obvious failures...such as arrogance, denial of culpability, eschewing of leadership, questionable play calling (especially regarding the run game) and incompetence with the challenge privilege.

Tom Coughlin is an a****le but he's still a good coach. Whiz is an a****le who isn't know to be a good coach that I've ever heard of. The possibility that Warner gave him success and didn't have the same success elsewhere might indicate that other coaches aren't incompetent enough to have to depend upon Warner for leadership. They might not win but they at least know how to lead. I haven't seen any indication that Whiz can lead in any capacity, but much like a Sheldon Cooper he is convinced that he alone is the competent one- so much so that he thinks he can manage TWO coaching positions at once- and that nothing ever works because there aren't enough people in the world as smart and talented as himself. That's not coaching; that's megalomania.
