Trading #2

Teams with the same record rotate where they pick from round to round. Since we have the same record as TB, we will pick first in the even numbered rounds (since there are only 2, 2-14 teams). That also means the first pick on day 3 as well.

I think we should trade it, but also know our FO and if they were going to tradeit any year it would have been last year, and we all know how that debacle went. Once again, I predict the FO will fall in love with Mariota, think he will be there at number 2 and miss out then try to make a trade last minute, miss out on that opportunity as well, and end up taking someone hastily.

 

Hell I'd take 6, 37, and a third this year and be happy.

 

I have heard some say the Eagles want to trade up badly to get Mariota. If the Bucs screw up and take Winston we will be in a prime position for the trade. Chip Kelly recently gained all control over the draft & personnel. This could make for a very interesting situation. Kelly is absolutely in love with the Duck. Trading back that far would next a major trade haul.

No way the Eagles trades for the #2 spot. The cost is simply prohibitively expensive. Unless we're willing to take significantly below value it ain't happening.

 

I am not sure. I have heard it reported from several people that Kelly wants Mariota badly. There was even a post on nfl.com that talked about Kelly trading for Mariota. I doubt it happens really, the cost for such a trade would be very high. That and the Bucs would have to pass on Mariota. I would love to see it happen, but it seems like a long shot. You know how it is this time of year. Reporters speculate on every trade that could possibly happen in hopes they can say, I called that one.

Kelly has spoken very highly of Mariota & said he would love to have a chance to coach him in the nfl. I think that is what started all the "Will Kelly trade for Mariota" rumors and debates.
