go back and watch some of Mariotas throw in the Pac 12 champ game against Arizona. He throws into very tight windows. What I like most about him is his decision making. 3 interceptions this year....3.
however, I dont really care to have either. If I had to chose I would go with mm. But I'm good with mett and getting a late round guy to push competition.

Winston does seem more NFL ready, hes fitting balls thru NFL sized windows and usually looking like an nfl qb, but I really belive he's already peaked as a QB. Mariota has tons more upside IMO

 

He has more room to grow than Winston imo

 

Well yea... Mariota has more upside. You could've technically said Manziel had more upside than the other QBs too.

These system QBs are wildcards in the NFL. Mariota is certainly a far better QB than Manziel, but I saw him make a couple of really bad throws in this game. One thrown across his body that should've been picked off. One overthrown and picked off. And then he also overthrew a couple of other wide open receivers.

Best system for Mariota would be Philly. Wont fit with many other systems including ours.

 

Actually JC, I think you've got it backwards. I believe Winston could grow ALOT in the NFL. But lets face it, both will be going to losing organizations so who knows what'll happen.

 

Right now, pre-combine, Petty is projected as 3rd to 4th round. Scarcity may push him to the 2nd.
