I'm not gonna be so hard on KW just yet. It looks to me like they put everything into giving Jake the chance to prove himself. When he went kaput it had to have been clear to KW and Co. that our season was essentially over in terms of really competing.

Now if we add good FAs and draft some good players and then we still come out looking like a junior high girls football team, I say can KW and RW both.

Hopefully he will get one more chance to prove he is the man. Otherwise the team will be out looking elsewhere.

I read an article that I can no longer find, and it was like Palmers. The WR will start running his route, and depending on where the defender is, is where he will expect to see the ball. The WR and the QB have to make the same read and its imperative that the QB is "quick minded" because he looks at the first WR, nothing there, then has to be able to notice it on the second, then third WR.

Its similar to the "complicated" system that Palmer ran.

Dont take this for 100 percent fact, it was just an article that I read.

I know nothing about the line schemes or anything like that, so I would only be guessing. The only thing I read was the WR/QB relationship.

Coaching doesnt make people learn how to catch, or not fall down on the grass.

In the NFL, you can either catch the ball, or you cant. With many levels along the way. Being inconsistent, ect.

Thats on Horton, not Whiz. I am even more willing to give Horton another year and not get on his case, than I am whiz.

Youre right, it isnt. Very rarely are coaches given one year, then fired the next. Cleveland did it recently but other than that, how often does it happen.

Look, I understand what you guys are saying.

He was also the OC for the steelers when they won the super bowl. Rivers also had good things to say about him. Did he revamp Rivers? Hell no. Rivers could also be a liar. Dont forget the Steelers though.

Since all of you seem to want to make Kurt Warner some kind of demi god and say all of Whiz success relies on him, lets look at Warner

    http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WarnKu00.htm

Why didnt he bring the Giants a super bowl in 2004? 5-4 record as a starter. Obviously someone else was the QB to split the season with him.

In fact, why wasnt Warner in the playoffs every season since he can clearly carry a team, call the plays, and do whatever he wants to. Maybe because he had some really damn talented WR's to go with him?

Like it or not, all of you are listening to Matt Leinart, the failure, when you keep quoting this. The little snotty brat who STILL makes comments about Whiz, is where you are getting all of this BULL **** about how Warner made Whiz. Personally, Id rather form my own opinion that listen to some crybaby who failed out of the NFL.

Warner was in Arizona for 5 years.

2-8 (I Guess Whiz wouldnt let him call his own plays)

    1-4 (Stubborn ole Whiz again)

5-7 (Damn Warner, can you get to .500?? PLease, go beg Whiz to let you run the entire offense)

    9-7 (ALL DUE TO WARNER!!!!)

    10-5 (ALL DUE TO WARNER!!!!!)

To sit here and say "Whiz was only good when he had a HOF QB", well let me introduce you to BB pre Brady. I dont like the argument. Look at Fisher. Good QB, we are in the playoffs every season and hes a great coach!! Bad QB, and he sucks.

Want me to go list the past 10 years super bowl winners and see if any of them were Lockers, or Fitzpatrics, or CBJ's, or 6th round rookie QB. How about having a leading WR like Wright and Hunter. How many of those defenses had ONE PERSON who you can look at and say "hey, we are set at that position".

Whiz may very well suck, but give him a damn break. He inherited a pile of ****. All of you were crying your little eyes out bitching about Munch last season, making idiots of themselves. "We have a ton of talent, all we need is any competent coach." The same people are doing the exact same thing this season.

Kearse, George, Hentrich, Wycheck, Mason, Bishop, Rolle, McNair, and that line.

Casey, Whiffin, Wright, Hunter, Walker, McCourty, Avery Williams

You tell me, which one of those teams are going to do better and does it have a damn thing to do with coaching

And by the way, I have been taken notes of WHO THE MAN IS. Its Rusten fking Webster who has built this roster, not Whiz.

P.S. My frustration doenst come from you, TJ, Alex, and other who dont mind putting together a thought out post or reply to anything.

    Okay, lets make it simpler:
Fisher: barely a winni g record. Gone.
Munch: Not a winning record. Gone
whiz: Not a winning record here or anywhere else. Stay?

It's like this in business, coach. I work in tech support. When a manager is assigned a team, you might get a team of super techs, or a team of dunderpates. (Most like a mix) But even if they are not great, it is your job to work with what you get, system or not. There are no acceptable excuses for a team not performing. If they are not, that is a reflection of the manager, or coach in your case.

I can agree with this, I just have a problem with folks that think Whis deserves some form of tenure here (can't even think about removing him until he has had at least 3 years). I think that we can (within budget constraints of course) absolutely re-evaluate him next season and, if he is not progressing the team sufficiently, whack him.

Doing that this season is premature and could jeopardize our credibility when looking for another coach. Doing that next season is prudent IMO. Blindly keeping him in place if he produces another turd for a product next season also jeopardizes our credibility IMO.
