I'd say that a majority of college stars in the past were just as much Diva. But luckily they didn't have to deal with twitter and other forms of instant social media. The rape charge is the only the thing that gives me serious pause on the guy.

I have never heard anything about Jameis being hard to coach or not being a hard worker. People want to compare him to Vince and Manziel but I don't see it. Vince was a Diva that didn't want to be coached and didn't want to work hard. Manziel was also a party guy that had issues with his coach. There aren't a ton of pictures of Jameis out partying like there was with Johnny. I see a lot more Cam Newton or Big Ben in Winston than those two.

Winston should be off our draft board. Not only does he have all the questions off the field, but he does not have the passion for the game. He doesn't take it serious. That's not what you want from your franchise qb. Who told him playing baseball was a good idea? How can he not be thinking about anything but football right now? What QB has been great and not cared about the game?

That's just it we are going to suck next year.... But there is way more talent coming from the draft on the d side this year then the o... If anything get some o lineman and suck it up... We still need to give Mett a shot at QB...I like how seattle is built they have a good not a great QB and a beast RB but that d is what keeps them out there... But I am not trying to argue with anyone we are all fans..

Winston definitely has a passion for the game. That guy is always fired up on the field. Him wanting to play baseball and not committing to going pro isn't a problem. Russell Wilson played baseball while at NC State and then played in the minor before spending his senior year at Wisconsin.

Yeah, but he didn't play during the most important 3 months of his life. He said in his interview that he is not concerned with football or the combine. All of his focus is on baseball. Any other time and that's fine. Not right now. He has enough questions marks about him, this adds another huge one.

I thought he played pretty well in that game. Even when he fumbled he broke like 3 tackles in the backfield beforehand. That game was on the defense and butterfinger receivers/rb. Even the int was not on him. Hit the wr right in the hands. He played well enough to win that game.

Total rumor that I can't back up, but word on the grapevine is that Winston returns.

I'd honestly be shocked. Assuming he returns, FSU is replacing seven starters on offense; Nick O'Leary, Rashad Greene, Cam Erving, Tre Jackson, Josue Matias, Bobby Hart and Karlos Williams.

There is no guarantee that Winston even comes out this year. And Wilson had no allegiance to the Wisconsin baseball team and couldn't play even if he wanted to because he had already played in the minors. Winston playing on a baseball team that he committed to shouldn't be seen as much of a negative if one at all.

The combine and the 3 months before the draft are so overrated. Winston has been playing football for most of his life and what he does in 3 months is very unlikely to change his game greatly and even if it does it is something that could be taught during another 3 month stretch.

What you often end up with is players that practice for 3 months and trick you into thinking they are a different player than what you saw the past 2-4 years. I think I'd rather have the real Winston show up and be evaluated instead of a version of him that has been practicing things that he has never tried to apply in a game.
