Sadly, @Childress79 is right. We'd also have to pay him an insane amount of money to convince him to come to this awesome franchise. Likely a $100mil deal.

This team needs an absolute major overhaul and we all know this. Personally, I say we need to admit mistakes on recent free agents and cut our ties. Judging by overthecap.com(Not sure how accurate but assuming its correct), we could save a ton of money if we take advantage of the June 1st cut date. By cutting Michael Griffin, Andy Levitre, Michael Oher, Kam Wimbley, and Dexter McCluster we save a ton. By cutting Whitehurst, Stevens, and Greene before the June 1st date we save even more. After all of these cuts that would leave us with $73,785,599 in cap space. Now I'm sure all these cuts won't happen but this is more of a hypothetical situation. This would allow us to sign Knighton, Worilds, and possibly McCourty with still lots of money to spare. A defense built around Jurrell Casey, Avery Williamson, Terrance Knighton, Jason Worilds, Devon and Jason McCourty along with potential number two pick Leonard Williams would be awesome. Add in a healthy Zac Brown, Bernard Pollard, Derrick Morgan and I think we have a good blend of young guys along with solid vets. All in all I think we need to build this defense up to get back to where we used to be. Haven't looked much into the offensive line because not sure who the prospects, free agents are right now and at this point I've been focused on D. I would like Roos to re sign and play RT. Then have Lewan, *Free Agent*, Schwenke(Or draft, free agent), Warmack and Roos. I think we have the tools, the money, the picks. Now it's up to the FO to prove to us they want to be a winning franchise again. Tired of this sh*t.

Be sure you follow how much dead money is tied to each of those contracts. It's not nearly as much savings for some of those players as others.

True. I think that would still leave us about 60 million which is still plenty.

We actually gain everything from cutting Oher. There is a clause in his contract that we can cut him after the first year and have 0 dead cap. It essentially turns it into a 1 year deal. He will be cut.

I think so. Put Fitz and Hunter on the outsides and Wright in the slot could be a good. Just teach Wright to quit slipping down all the time.

I have been giving some thought more and more about going after Suh where at first I just dismissed him. No thought given to Justin Houston, although I want him because he is not leaving KC. They will franchise if they cannot come to an extension. These are some other guys I just started thinking about bolstering the roster. Straps us up financially from upgrading the O but would be one heck of a fun D to watch. The draft can handle O with these upgrades.

NT Terrance Knighton: #1 guy to go for and can be gotten fairly cheap. Key defender against the run for the Denver Broncos. NT don't usually command a lot and can probably get him on a 3-4 year deal for about 2-2.5 million a year. Would be an anchor in the middle of the lineup at 6'3 335lbs. Definitely needed for our 3-4 base and can easily be substituted in a 4-3 hybrid look.

DT Ndamukong Suh: #2 guy to go after. I had to start giving this some consideration. Probably doesn't want to play in a 3-4 although money talks. He could essentially play the JJ Watt role, which I think he may like after actually playing in the scheme. Having Knighton taking doubles off of him and Casey there to rush as well he is likely to get a lot more 1 on 1 looks. He is going to command a big contract close to JJ Watt money, which TN could actually afford since we do not have a QB taking up that much money. Also have Casey on a contract at a steal for 4 more years. This makes it possible to sign Suh to a 6 year deal but really set up to get out of it in 4 if necessary to keep from go into salary cap hades.

DE Jason Pierre Paul and/or Greg Hardy: Only 1 is needed if we traded Mariota at pick #2 and get Connor Barwin from Philly (see trade #2 pick thread) but both are going to want money. Pierre Paul probably in the 8-10 million range due to injury history and production drop off. Not sure about Hardy. May be able to get him in the 10-12 million range due to his off field history. Would be a steal to get him that cheap if he can transition to an OLB and be as productive if not more. What would really be sweet would be to have both in a 4-3 defense with Hardy and JPP at DE and Suh and Casey at DT with Barwin at OLB but it would be just as sweet to have Knighton, Suh, and Casey up front with JPP, Hardy, Williamson, and Brown (or Benardrick McKinnie draft pick) as LB.

DE/OLB Pernell McPhee: Probably the better second OLB to go after if we were to get Hardy or JPP. He will get paid next season but he would be a great addition to the D and would come cheaper than JPP or Hardy so we lock him up and get one of the others. He can play all over the line and rush from any position. Sure he is looking for a bigger role than in Baltimore.

TE Virgil Green: TE from Denver Broncos known as the Incredible Hulk due to his blocking but coming out from college known for being an athlete. Denver's rushing attack increased by 30 yds when he played for Julius Thomas. Sitting behind JT and catching passes from Peyton should have taught him a little about the nuisances about receiving. He is 6'5 with a 4.5 40 and a 42.5 in vertical. Could make a deadly combo with him and Walker and resign Taylor Thomas on the very cheap for depth. He can be had for cheap and will want a bigger role on another team. Could be a potential steal and allow us to run 2 TE sets where both TEs are excellent blockers and good receivers. Helps the run game also and would take pressure off of Mett or any QB we had.

He'll surely want to go to a contender.
