Theres guys with multiple of those things, what if he wants to win 3 titles? That USC team from 10 years ago wanted to do something special together, FSU could be in the same mindset.

Actually, your first goal is to get INTO the NFL and sign your FIRST contract which for Winston would make him a multi-millionaire. The average NFL career is less than 5 yrs so you definitely want to set your sights on that (2nd contract) once you're ALREADY IN the NFL but if you blow out your shoulder or elbow, you have little chance of even getting your first contract. And we all know getting drafted in the 5th-7th round doesn't give you much leeway in making a name for yourself on the field and you won't get any extra chances (like a 1st or 2nd rnd pick gets).

Even with insurance, you will come out WAY behind and you will need to start think of having a 'real' job. Not a smart decision IMO.

Bernard Pollard once said youre either in it for the money or to be the best, just 2 different thoughts, neither really wrong.

Call me insane, but he had the best OL in college...even if I was playing OC! And as for your theory he had a worse pocket early and a better pocket in the last 5 games begs the question, how come he played worse in their first 5 games (he played) than the last 5 games when the OL was improved with Erving moving to C?

Why would you think with more experience his numbers would get better? He got more experience this year and his numbers got worse! Correct? In addition, despite Rudolph being pretty good, their team at OL, WR, and TE will be worse than what he just played with and the defense will also not be as good to keep them in games when he throws 2-4 picks in the first half.

So, with a worse team than he just had, how is this gonna help him? Right now he has 20+ wins and only 1 loss. He can still salvage that 'winner' label as he played pretty well in that loss to Oregon. But what happens if they go 8-4 next year or something like that. All that star power and 'winner' stuff will be a thing of the past and if he continues to keep throwing INT's, it won't help him. And I'd imagine replacing 60% of your OL is not gonna give him a better pocket...do you?

True, but it's hard to argue you'll get to be the best faster by playing lesser opponents in college than the NFL. which is more likely to get you there...1 more year of college and 4 years in the NFL or 5 years in the NFL. I'd suggest the 5 years in the NFL IF he can keep his head on straight! Of course, if he NEEDS another year in college to mature...but I also have questions as to whether he will mature while at FSU.

But yes, different points of view.

I have no idea why his numbers got worse, but his protection was better. There is no doubting that.

I meant more experience at WR, not playing QB. It was the Rashad Greene Show at WR this year. Ermon Lane and Bobo Wilson could not be relied on to catch the ball consistently and those two along with Rudolph were regularly running incorrect routes. They knocked each other over a few times by running the wrong routes.

I agree his protection was better, but even early on his OL was the best in the country and finished even better. Considering he doesn't throw nearly as well with pressure, wouldn't you be worried the experience at WR won't make as much of a difference if he's constantly on his back? Also, his TE and Greene were his Go To guys. Having neither of them back would not make me feel like he'd be in a better situation next year.
